According to crews, the gas line broke around 3 p.m. on the 2800 block of Main Street. According to San Diego Gas and Electric, an employee at a recycling plant in the area punctured the gas line, causing the three-quarter inch line to break. He has started a Gofundme page to attempt to capitalize on his newfound exposure. Meanwhile, Roman Stoneworks and its owner and personnel have been subjected to significant monetary damage, as well as threats, profanity and harassment by phone and email.
