The software giant said Monday that it is paying .5 billion for ZeniMax Media, the parent company of video game publisher Bethesda Softworks. Microsoft said it is buying Bethesda in part to beef up its Xbox Game Pass game subscription service, which it says has over 15 million subscribers. Bethesda games, such as Starfield, which is currently in development, will launch on Xbox Game Pass the same day they launch on Xbox or computers. Raising the age of cigarette purchasing from 18 to 21 could have massive impacts on youth smoking. "This would be the number one thing I would do in New York state," Roswell Park Health Behavior Chair Dr. Andrew Hyland said. According to Hyland, if the age were to go up three years, the number of young smokers would decrease. "If you raise the age from 18 to 21 we're going to see 25% fewer kids becoming cigarette smokers" Hyland said. There would be less smokers due to the fact that 18 year old brains are still in development. Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has won a seventh term in Kentucky.The 78-year-old McConnell defeated Democrat Amy McGrath, a retired Marine combat pilot who challenged him as a political outsider. McConnell is the longest-serving Republican leader in Senate history.As President Donald Trump’s top ally on Capitol Hill, McConnell led efforts to defend the president during his impeachment acquittal in the Senate. He also worked with Trump on a tax overhaul and orchestrated Senate confirmation of more than 200 judicial appointments, including Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court.McGrath also lost a race for a House seat in 2018. 661

Relatives of Richard Russell say they are "stunned and heartbroken" after the airline worker stole a passenger plane Friday from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and was killed when he crashed 25 miles away."This is a complete shock to us," the family said in a statement Saturday night. "We are devastated by these events, and Jesus is truly the only one holding this family together right now."The statement said Russell, 29, was "a faithful husband, a loving son and a good friend."Referring to audio recordings of Russell talking to air traffic control during his hour-long flight, the statement said his "intent was not to harm anyone.
