SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — The man suspected of killing his stepmother and burying her body in a Tijuana backyard has been arrested on probation violations.Aaron Seth Juarez, 20, was taken into custody in San Diego Thursday. He was also wanted by the Deputy Attorney General of Justice in Tijuana on suspicion of killing Fernanda González Serrano in February.San Diego Police are currently working to return Juarez back to Mexico.González was last heard from on Feb. 2. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The man accused of killing his parents and sister in a Logan Heights house fire pleaded not guilty in court Tuesday. Wilber Romero, 26, is facing charges that include first-degree murder and arson in the October 13 blaze. The fire started around 4:30 a.m. on the 3100 block of Clay Street. 44-year-old Jose Romero died at the scene while his wife and daughter, Nicolasa Maya-Romero, 46, and Iris Romero, 21, died at the hospital in the days following the blaze.The family’s 23-year-old daughter remains hospitalized. A 16-year-old son, who was injured when he escaped out a window, was released following treatment. Wilber is being held on million bail and faces life in prison if convicted. Court documents show the fire wasn’t the first time he allegedly targeted his family. Wilber reportedly attacked his father with a brick and rocks and damaged his car in September of 2018.The incident prompted a police standoff that ended when police shot bean bags at Wilber and released a police dog, documents show.The documents go on to state Wilber was in a car accident when he was 6-years-old and that he has suffered from a learning disability since the crash.According to the documents, Wilber also struggled with drug addiction. 1461

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The Grinch is back yet again to steal Christmas from San Diego.The Old Globe Theatre's production of "Dr. Suess's How the Grinch Stole Christmas!" returns to San Diego for its run from Nov. 4 to Dec. 24. Back for its 20th year, the holiday classic brings Whoville to the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in Balboa Park. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — The Federal Bureau of Investigation is asking for the public's help to connect dozens of victims to the confessions made by a convicted serial killer.Samuel Little, 79, has confessed to 93 murders to date, according to the FBI, and all of his confessions are believed to be credible. The murders took place between 1970 and 2005 in multiple states across the country.The FBI says Little is the most prolific serial killer in U.S. history. He was arrested in 2012 and extradited to California on a narcotics charge. After his arrest, Little's DNA was connected to three unsolved homicides between 1987 and 1989. He was convicted and sentenced in 2014 to three consecutive life terms without parole.In 2018, Little provided the FBI with detailed information on dozens of additional murders he is believed to have committed across the country, including murders in Illinois, Kentucky and Ohio.Law enforcement have been able to verify 50 of Little's confessions, but that leaves dozens of victims still unnamed and yet to be found. Fifteen of those cases are in the Los Angeles area.The FBI says Little confessed to strangling his victims, although most of their deaths were originally ruled overdoses or accidental. Some bodies have never been found.Little was convicted of two crimes in San Diego in 1984 after he raped and beat two women. Retired Detective Sergeant Wayne Spees was a rookie police officer on patrol just before 5 a.m. that October morning, when he and his partner discovered Little at a vacant lot near Market Street."He comes out of the back seat ... zipping his pants up ... He's insisting that he and his wife were just leaving," said Spees.Wedged inside the car was a prostitute, naked and bloodied. Little had choked her unconscious. Spees arrested him and spent several hours with him at the hospital while evidence was collected."He said, 'I didn't rape that ****. I just kicked the **** out of her. I'm going to kill that whore.' He had no remorse. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The family of Kimberly Fattorini is suing former San Diego Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman in connection with her fatal overdose, according to a TMZ Sports report.Fattorini's parents claim Merriman drugged and assaulted their daughter before she died at a house party in 2017, the report says.In a statement, Merriman's representatives said they are unaware of the lawsuit and that the original police investigation found no wrongdoing by the former NFL star.Her parents say Fattorini and her friends were invited to a club promoter's house party, and that Merriman "was allegedly witnessed carrying a bottle with some sort of liquid inside."At some point during the party, she texted the promoter saying, "you friend just poor'd half G in my drink," the lawsuit says. Her "parents believe G refers to GHB," the TMZ report says.Per the report, Fattorini's parents claim that first responders found her unresponsive and "half naked with jeans unzipped and buttoned" at a party in Los Angeles. A preliminary autopsy listed her death caused by a lethal cocktail of alcohol, cocaine, and gamma-hydroxybutyrate -- the last more commonly known as the "date rape" drug GHB.The suit alleges that while her autopsy did not reveal foul play, "a test for sexual assault wasn't done because officials said it wasn't conducted at the time of the initial autopsy, and couldn't be done properly afterward," the report says.The "complaint claims negligence, battery and a violation of the drug dealer liability act," and the Fattorinis are seeking damages, TMZ Sports reports.Merriman's representative told TMZ, "As of right now Shawne, nor his attorney, have any knowledge of him being named in any lawsuit. This alleged lawsuit is baseless.
