(KGTV) — A magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck the Mojave Desert area Wednesday.The quake was recorded at 1:40 p.m. in Trona, Calif., according to the US Geological Survey, and could be felt as far east as Las Vegas and as far west as Los Angeles. The earthquake had a depth of less than half a mile just north of Barstow.A 3.7-magnitude aftershock was recorded in the same area within the next hour.Sal Romo at Esparza family restaurant in Trona told 10News they definitely felt shaking but there wasn't any damage. (KGTV) — As a caravan of migrants from Honduras marches through Mexico, participants have said they are determined to press on to Tijuana.The caravan has also drawn daily discussions among U.S. leaders as to how to deal with the incoming group, who have said they plan to apply for asylum.It's not clear how close the caravan will be when Election Day rolls around on Nov. 6, but the group's journey is expected to play a large part in the elections.RELATED: As many as 15,000 troops to be deployed to borderThe caravan has said they fled Honduras because of the state of employment, quality of life, and the threat of crime they are faced with in the country — similar to a caravan which came to the U.S.-Mexico border in Tijuana in April.Here is a look at the caravan and actions by U.S. leaders since the group's journey began in October:Oct. 13 — Migrant caravan forms in the Honduran city of San Pedro Sula and begins to head north.Oct. 15 — The caravan arrives at the Guatemala-Honduran border, facing a blockade by local police for nearly two hours. Police eventually allowed the migrants to continue through after they refused to turn back. Oct. 16 — President Donald Trump tweets he's told Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández, El Salvador, and Guatemala that "no more money or aid" will be given if they allow the caravan to continue to the United States.Oct. 19 — Migrants reach the Guatemala-Mexico border and begin to request asylum in Mexico.Oct. 20 — Battling sweltering heat while waiting to cross the border, some migrants begin to cross into Mexico using makeshift rafts to cross the Suchiate River and climbing over fences.Oct. 21 — Crowds of migrants continue their journey north from the Mexican border town of Ciudad Hidalgo. (KGTV and CNN) - Newly released video from a passenger shows the moments before and after strong winds led to the crash of an Aeromexico plane in northern Mexico.Flight 2431 had just left Durango, Mexico for Mexico City on Tuesday when it took a nose dive.Video shows the plane fall before flames erupt outside the window. The plane skidded off the runway at the Guadalupe Victoria International Airport until it stopped about 300 meters away, according to Durango’s governor.RELATED: A plane crashed in Mexico but everyone on board survived99 passengers and four crew members were on board including Ashley Garcia, who recorded the video. Everyone evacuated the plane using its emergency evacuation slides before flames engulfed the aircraft, officials said. Although 49 people were hospitalized, no one died.Anabel Estrada -- a passenger from Joliet, Illinois -- felt like the aircraft had been battling against the heavy rain and wind before it hit the ground twice during the crash."The second impact was a lot stronger. This is when I jumped and hit my head against the ceiling," Estrada said. (CNN) - The maker of Taytulla birth-control treatment issued a nationwide recall in the United States on Tuesday over concerns that misplaced capsules in pill packs could cause unintended pregnancies.A physician reported that four placebo capsules were packaged in the wrong order where active capsules should have been, drugmaker Allergan said in a statement.The physician sample pack should have 24 pink capsules with hormones followed by four maroon capsules without hormones, Allergan said. Instead, the faulty pack had four maroon placebos at the start of the treatment."As a result of this packaging error, oral contraceptive capsules that are taken out of sequence may place the user at risk for contraceptive failure and unintended pregnancy," the statement said."The reversing of the order may not be apparent to either new users or previous users of the product, increasing the likelihood of taking the capsules out of order."Allergan said it is arranging for return of all sample pack products with the lot #5620706 Exp.
