SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — FBI investigators are searching for a woman wanted in two grocery store bank robberies.The woman, described as a Caucasian blonde in her 20s standing about 5-feet 6-inches tall, is believed to be behind two heists in La Mesa and Rolando areas this month.On Sept. 12, investigators say the woman walked into a US Bank inside the Vons grocery store at 6155 El Cajon Blvd. just before 3 p.m. She presented a demand note to the teller and fled with an unknown amount of cash. She was wearing a hat and sunglasses during the incident to hide her identity.RELATED: FBI seeks tips in finding Oak Park bank robberThe suspect wore a grey, long-sleeved sweater, black yoga pants, black sunglasses, and a black hat.Then on Sept. 16, the same woman is believed to have entered the Wells Fargo Bank inside a Vons at 8011 University Ave. in La Mesa just after 10 a.m. Wearing a similar disquise, the woman presented the teller a demand note and fled with cash.No weapons were seen during the robberies, investigators said.Anyone with information on the suspect's identity is asked to call San Diego FBI at 858-320-1800 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477. 1166

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Firefighters have extinguished the fire that caused a hotel near Harbor Island Park to be evacuated Wednesday afternoon. Firefighters say the two-alarm fire broke out at the Sheraton on the 1300 block of Harbor Island Drive. No one was injured, but the fire, which took place in the hotel's elevator shaft, caused at least 0,000 in damage. Firefighters were alerted to the fire after they say people reported heavy smoke coming from the elevator shaft.At this time, the cause of the fire is unknown.  551

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — How safe do you feel eating at Petco Park? Or if you've chosen to support the Chargers, StubHub Center?A newly published analysis by ESPN's Outside the Lines investigated thousands of food-safety inspection reports from health departments that monitor professional sports venues across the U.S.The analysis looks at routine inspection reports from 2016 to 2017.According to ESPN, about 28 percent of the venues registered high-level violation in half or more of their food service outlets. The violations cover temperature, pests or bugs, poor condition of food, equipment failures, employee-related issues, and more.The study's worst is in Charlotte, N.C., where Spectrum Center — home of the NBA's Charlotte Hornets — posted a 92 percent violation rate, followed by Michigan's now-closed Palace of Auburn Hills (86.11 percent), and Texas' American Airlines Center (83.08 percent.)The highest rated stadium was Oakland's Oracle Arena — home of the NBA's Golden State Warriors— with a 1.12 percent violation rate.Petco ParkSan Diego's downtown ballpark ranked fifth among MLB venues and 24th among all venues analyzed by ESPN.Of the park's 168 outlets inspected, 28 recorded high-level violations, according to ESPN's study. The study found the park registered on average 0.09 high-level violations per inspections.Some of those violations, for example, including pest-related issues— two of which occurred in 2016 inspections. On Aug. 18, 2016, an inspector found bird droppings on top of an ice bin and on Sept. 20, 2016, rodent droppings were discovered on the floor and top of a concession stand's ice machine. That ice machine was taken out of service for the rest of the season, according to the study.The San Diego Padres told 10News they are "confident that our ballpark will continue to be one of the safest" in baseball:“We strive for excellence with our food and beverage service at Petco Park. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Hundreds of people rallied outside of the County Administration Building Monday and called for the reopening of San Diego County businesses.The rally was held as new coronavirus-related restrictions took effect across the county over the weekend, forcing businesses and entities like restaurants, gyms, and churches to shutdown their indoor operations.“Some of us are in danger of losing our homes. We’re definitely in danger of losing our businesses. And we just had enough; enough is enough,” said Laura Crivello, a business owner that attended the rally.Many business owners also shared their personal stories and how the restrictions have crippled their businesses and livelihoods. They were joined by the County Supervisor Jim Desmond and the mayors of El Cajon and Coronado. All three expressed their support for business owners.“This is a very important moment for San Diego County and California. And it’s not really a choice between opening businesses and saving lives, and we can do both, we can do both at the same time,” Desmond said.“The museums, the churches, the restaurants, the gyms should all be allowed to reopen in the capacity they had last week,” he added. 1205
