SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Several homes were evacuated and a bomb squad called to the scene after hundreds of rounds of ammo were discovered inside a Mira Mesa home Wednesday night. Authorities were called to the home on Avenida Del Gato and Valdosta Ave between 4 and 5 p.m. According to San Diego Police, a man was cleaning his deceased relative’s home when he found the ammo. Also discovered inside the home were mortar rounds and rocket rounds. Military ordnance experts, FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were all called to the home. The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department says six nearby homes had to be evacuated. A total of 14 adults and one child who live nearby had to leave. (CNN) -- Apple announced a .5 billion financial package to help address the housing crisis in California, which has worsened in part because of the rapid growth of tech companies.The company laid out a five-point plan, including billion for an affordable housing investment fund, billion in mortgage assistance for first-time home buyers and opening some Apple-owned land valued at 0 million for development.
