Shortly after, he ordered Taulbee to be transferred to the Montgomery County Detention Center.Since the indictment was filed, Taublee was charged with tampering with a witness.The arrest warrant reads that after Taulbee learned he was indicted, he sent a threatening message to a Stanton Police officer who is listed as a witness in his case.Taulbee is due in court for the tampering charge on Friday.Next Wednesday, he returns to Circuit Court for a pre-trial conference concerning the sexual abuse and criminal abuse felony charges.Both Taulbee and Bryant turned down our request for an interview. 1523

With the college soccer season now over, Sarah Fuller has joined the Vanderbilt football team as a place kicker. If she enters the game, she would become the first female to play in a college football game for a Power 5 conference team.Vanderbilt is slated to play Missouri on Saturday,According to Vanderbilt’s official team site, Fuller will make the trip to Columbia for Saturday’s contest.There have been two previous female Division I college football players, Katie Hnida for New Mexico and April Goss for Kent State.Part of the reason Fuller is getting the opportunity is due to COVID-19 and that Vanderbilt has a limited number of specialists able to make the trip due to contact tracing.“I think it’s amazing and incredible. But I’m also trying to separate that because I know this is a job I need to do and I want to help the team out and I want to do the best that I can,” Fuller told Vanderbilt’s website. “Placing that historical aspect aside just helps me focus in on what I need to do. I don’t want to let them down in anyway.”Fuller is coming off the college soccer season, playing in nine games for Vanderbilt. on Interstate 41/94 killed two semi truck drivers and seriously injured two other people.Racine County Sheriff Chris Schmaling said as a semi truck heading south on the interstate tried to change lanes they hit a construction barrier that pushed the median into the northbound lanes.Three other passenger vehicles heading north collided as a result. Schmaling said a second semi truck heading north tried to avoid the collision causing it to veer off the road and crashed before bursting into flames.The sheriff said they received several 911 calls reporting the crash and explosions. He attributed the explosion sounds to tires in the crash heating up then blowing up."In my 24 years on this job and this is the worst accident I’ve ever been a part of," said Schmaling.The crash shut down I-94 and frontage roads to traffic for several hours causing lenthy back ups. The sheriff said emergency responders had difficulty getting to the scene.Schmaling urged drivers to be cautious driving in extreme construction zones, adding a small mistake can have a devastating impact."These are interstate speeds were talking about and ultimately it cost him his life and the life of another human being, and I hope and pray that the lives of the others are right now in the hospital getting care don’t lose their lives as well. You hear about mass shootings happening across the nation, but what you rarely hear about are the ones that didn’t happen.About 2 years ago, one Colorado high school was the location for a potential mass shooting.“There are more interventions then there are mass shootings," said Kevin Klein, director of the Colorado Division of Homeland Security.In the last year, the FBI reports 150 mass shootings did not happen because of threat assessment and prevention."That doesn’t include what happens on a day-to-day basis in local law enforcement, mental health community or social services," Klein said.Homeland Security reports that in 81 percent of mass shooting cases, the offender told somebody about their plan. In 59 percent of the cases, the shooter told more than one person about their plan to kill.About 8 miles away from the school where a potential shooting was going to take place is a school America knows all too well, Columbine High School. After the shooting at Columbine, local law enforcement created a program called text a tip.That program is the same program that prevented the other Colorado school from having a mass shooting.  Dr. Russell Palarea is the president of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals. He says the public’s tips are everything. They are essential to preventing bad things from happening.'If you have a concern, say something," Palarea said.ATAP designs programs to help potential offenders find positive outlets in society and help them change their violent thinking.The program includes getting the offender counseling, helping them take part in community service, having friends and families do weekly check-ins and working with a school tutor weekly.“It’s an ongoing continuous process," Palarea said. "It’s not a one shot deal.
