A New Hampshire woman faces an animal cruelty charge after pushing her 11-year-old dog into a lake and watching it drown.Nancy Bucciarelli was arrested Friday. She is accused of taking her golden Labrador Retriever to Wasserman Park in Merrimack, about 29 miles south of Concord, on June 8 and then pushing it from a dock where it struggled to swim and eventually drowned, police said in a news release.An investigation by the department's animal control officer found the 66-year-old Bucciarelli made no attempt to rescue the dog, police said.Witnesses told investigators the dog appeared "old and easily winded," the release said. "Witnesses further advised that when they could see the dog struggling, they tried to render aid; however, it was too late."The dog drowned in 3 1/2 feet of water, police said.Bucciarelli surrendered to Merrimack police. After one of its cars made a high-speed run on a German test track, Bugatti says it is the first production auto manufacturer to make a car that exceeded 300 miles per hour.A specially modified Bugatti Chiron, driven by Bugatti test driver Andy Wallace, went 304.8 miles per hour on a 5.5 mile straightaway on Volkswagen's Ehra-Lessien test track in Germany, the company said. Bugatti is owned by the Volkswagen Group, which also owns Lamborghini and Bentley.Bugatti is a "production auto manufacturer," meaning it makes multiple copies of the same car for use on public roads albeit, in Bugatti's case, in low numbers and at very high prices. But this was not the ordinary sort of Chiron one can buy for million from the Bugatti factory in Molsheim, France. A Phoenix man was arrested after stabbing his father so many times, the knife broke, according to court records. Phoenix police report that on Friday, March 1, they were called to a home in Phoenix after a witness observed mail collecting in a resident’s mailbox.Police discovered Clemente Valenzuela Garcia decomposing in the home. Police say he died from multiple stabs wounds to "multiple planes of his body."It is believed Clemente died on February 22.At the crime scene, police also allegedly found a broken knife blade and bloody footprints leading away from the victim’s body.Family members reported to police that Clemente and his son, Erik Joseph Garcia, 25, owned a truck together and that the truck was missing. Police also found an "extensive domestic violence history at the residence."A witness later reportedly gave police a social media video that shows Erik saying, "He deserved it. Everybody’s happy without him. I was done with him because I'm a man now. I'm free."Upon his arrest, Erik reportedly told police that he was tired of being yelled at, and he stabbed Clemente in the chest, multiple times until the knife broke.Police say shoes found in the bed of Erik's truck match the bloody footprints at the scene.Erik Garcia is being held without bond for first-degree murder. 1308

A Michigan woman said she escaped two human traffickers from their home up north last week.According to Michigan State Police, troopers were called to a home in northern Michigan around 3 a.m. on Jan. 10, to investigate the alleged human trafficking case.Roscommon County Sheriff's deputies said they had a woman in custody for stealing a vehicle, but the woman said she escaped a home where two men forced her to clean and perform acts of prostitution.The woman told troopers she was being held against her will by two suspects, identified as James Jarrell and Jeffrey Kobel, both 50 and from Roscommon.She said she had been brought three hours north from Ypsilanti to Roscommon County a few days earlier. There was also alleged drug dealing going on at the residence.The MSP Emergency Support Team and other agencies executed a search warrant at the house and arrested both men.Police charged Jarrell with two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, one count of unlawful imprisonment and one count of habitual offender fourth offense. Police charged Kobel with one count of unlawful imprisonment and habitual offender third offense.Both remain in the Crawford County Jail. 1195
