(KGTV) -- High winds in the Descanso area knocked over two big rig trucks early Thursday morning, prompting emergency crews to rescue people trapped inside.At around 4 a.m., California Highway Patrol officers were called to eastbound Interstate 8 near Japatul Valley Road after reports a semitruck toppled over due to the strong winds swirling in the area.Two people were removed from the truck and taken to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity.Moments later and a few hundred feet away, crews rushed to another big rig that was knocked down by the winds.Crews broke the truck’s windshield and extricated a man, woman and dog trapped inside the cab. It is unknown if the couple and dog were injured.A High Wind Advisory was issued for I-8 from Lake Jennings to Forrester Road; high-profile vehicles are prohibited on that stretch of I-8. 872

David Bossie, a Trump campaign adviser that is leading the President's legal challenge the outcome of the 2020 election, has contracted COVID-19, according to CNN, USA Today and Bloomberg.Bossie reportedly tested positive for the virus on Sunday, and reports of his diagnosis surfaced in the media on Monday — the same day that reports surfaced that Housing and Urban Development Director Ben Carson had also tested positive for the virus.Bossie reportedly has been traveling between Arizona and Trump campaign headquarters in Virginia, and is often seen without a mask.Bossie is among the legal experts who have been challenging the election outcomes in several states that Trump lost, and in states where the outcome is too close to call. While the Trump campaign has filed several lawsuits, there is still no evidence that widespread voter fraud changed the outcome of the election.Several top officials in the Trump administration — including President Donald Trump himself — have contracted COVID-19 in recent weeks. Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s campaign is committing to releasing the results of all future COVID-19 tests the candidate takes.Biden spokesman Andrew Bates repeated Saturday evening that the former vice president is tested “regularly.” But before President Donald Trump’s coronavirus diagnosis earlier this week Biden had not disclosed full details of his testing protocol or the results of each test.Biden told reporters Saturday in Wilmington that he was not tested earlier in the day but would be tested Sunday morning. His campaign said he tested negative for COVID twice on Friday.Biden says he was not tested for the coronavirus on Saturday but will undergo such screening on Sunday.After attending Saturday evening Catholic Mass in Wilmington, Delaware, Biden was asked if he’d undergone testing for the virus that day and replied, “No, but I will tomorrow morning.”Biden’s campaign has not announced any public events for its candidate on Sunday.Bates said in the statement that Biden was not in “close contact” with Trump, his family members or his aides during their debate Tuesday night.
