CINCINNATI -- Kyle Jacob Plush called 911 twice hours before he was found dead inside his car at Seven Hills School. Plush, 16, first called 911 at 3:16 p.m. Tuesday. He cried for help and repeatedly told the operator he could not hear what she was saying.“I can’t hear you … I need help, I’m gonna die here,” Plush said.The first unit, with two Cincinnati officers, was dispatched to respond at 3:23 p.m. They arrived minutes later, reported not seeing anything and attempted to call Plush’s phone. There was no answer. A Hamilton County sheriff's deputy checked the area again at 3:48 p.m. to no avail. At some point, Plush called 911 a second time. It is not clear the exact time he made this second call."This is not a joke," he said. "I am trapped inside a gold Honda Odyssey van in the parking lot of Seven Hills ... Send officers immediately. I'm almost dead."A passerby called police at 8:56 p.m., and dispatch requested police and ambulance minutes later. Nick Francis, director of Experiential Learning at Seven Hills School, said in a 911 call a security guard contacted him and told him to call 911 because they found a kid in his car. Francis told the dispatcher he wasn’t at the school, but they had been “missing a kid.”“I got a call from a security guy there because we were trying to find this kid, and he just all of a sudden called me, 'Nick we found him. Call 911, he's in his car,’” Francis told the dispatcher.Around 9 p.m., according to police, a family member discovered Plush dead inside his 2002 Honda Odyssey -- a death Hamilton County Coroner Lakshmi Sammarco would rule accidental "asphyxia caused by chest compression."Something -- neither Sammarco nor Lt. CHULA VISTA (KGTV) - After a series of fires, Chula Vista Police have begun the process of clearing people out of the Otay Mesa River Valley. Tuesday morning, members of the CVPD Homeless Outreach Team handed out vacate notices to people living in the area. Several fires have broken out in the river bed recently, requiring large responses from local fire agencies. Chula Vista Police said after people have been moved out, they will begin clearing brush. CHULA VISTA, Calif. (CNS) - A report on five possible sites for a future Cal State University campus, including in Chula Vista, states that none of the sites would be a suitable candidate based on enrollment demand alone, according to a report presented Tuesday to the CSU Board of Trustees.The report stems from a study undertaken to assess the potential need for a new campus in Chula Vista, as well as the cities of Concord and Palm Desert, and the counties of San Mateo and San Joaquin.The study -- which can be viewed at https://www.csucapacitystudy.org -- examines various factors regarding a potential CSU site in Chula Vista's University and Innovation District.The study found that CSU enrollment is projected to increase "moderately" over the next 15 years, with the San Diego area projected to see 5,700 more full-time CSU students by 2035.RELATED: Chula Vista on shortlist for potential California State University campusWhile the report concluded the projected enrollment demand does not warrant a new campus, the study did not account for COVID-19's possible enrollment impacts, as CSU's pandemic-related transition to virtual education occurred during the compilation of the study.The study also noted, however, that systemwide CSU enrollment exceeds the current physical capacity by an average of 17% or 57,300 full-time students.The estimated cost to establish a new campus ranges from billion to billion, with the timeline to develop a new campus estimated at nine years, according to the report. 1528

Chipotle is scrapping chorizo from its menu.A spokesperson for the Mexican chain restaurant said in an email that chorizo made up less than three-percent of the companies sales, compared to the other meats offered like steak, chicken and barbacoa.As the company was testing its recently-added queso dip in Colorado and California, it was also testing chorizo. One market sold both queso and chorizo while the other sold queso."Our aim in doing that was to get a sense for customer reaction and operational efficiencies," the spokesperson said. "When we made the decision to rollout queso nationwide, we ultimately decided to add queso and remove chorizo."It is not clear exactly when restaurants would stop selling chorizo, however.A week after Chipotle unveiled its queso, people have taken to social media to share their reviews. Foodies long asked Chipotle to add queso to its menu, but the restaurant had trouble finding a way to make it without additives. It is made with aged cheddar cheese, tomatillos, tomatoes and peppers.Chipotle said during the rollout that the flavor might vary between stores due to variances in the cheddar cheese's characteristics. 1196
