It is easily deployed at low risk to investigators, can be programmed and monitored remotely using web-based and smartphone applications, and is a low cost, allowing for deployment of many units at once," said the Ventura-based Paso Pacífico, the non-profit that developed the eggs.The decoy eggs are placed in real nests alongside real eggs, which are monitored and mapped every time they are moved, the non-profit said.The research showed that the decoy eggs provide a signal once every hour."Using data provided by the decoys, we identified trafficking routes and on two occasions properties of potential interest to law enforcement," researchers said in the journal. A suspected suicide bombing at a wedding hall in the Afghan capital, Kabul, has killed 40 people and injured dozens more, officials say.The blast ripped through a venue near the city's international airport, where a gathering of religious scholars was taking place, the Afghan interior ministry said. A Southwest Airlines plane flying from Fort Lauderdale to BWI was hit by a pickup truck after landing at the airport.  It happened early Monday morning.   Passengers said the white truck crashed into the side of the plane on the runway.  An ambulance was at the scene, but according to passengers, no one was injured.  Passengers were not allowed to leave while crews continued their investigation.  Southwest Airlines has not released any comment but the company did respond to a tweet from one of the passengers on the plane.  A passenger named Michael Simon posted this tweet: "So our southwest flight just got into an accident with a pickup truck. Guess that makes me an airplane crash survivor."  874

A Marine Corps helicopter crashed Tuesday in California during a routine training mission and all four crew members aboard are presumed dead.The CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter crashed near the city of El Centro, which is near the Mexico border, around 2:35 p.m., according to a statement from the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing.The cause of the crash is under investigation.The four crew members' identities have not been released yet pending 24 hours after notifying their families.The CH-53 helicopters are used to transport heavy equipment and supplies, and are capable of lifting 16 tons, according to the Marines website. 631
