(KGTV) - A fire broke out Friday at a home in the Talmadge area.Sky10 was above the home in the 4600 block of 50th at Madison Ave. about 4:30 p.m.Firefighters found flames and smoke at the home when they arrived.The home was vacant when the fire broke out. No roads were closed in the area.San Diego Fire-Rescue teams did not immediately release what caused the fire.Crews requested an arson investigator and SDG&E assistance at the scene.   483

(CNN) -- Retired NFL fullback Le'Ron McClain took to Twitter Saturday to plead for help dealing with head and brain troubles he said have resulted from playing football.In a series of emotional and expletive-filled tweets, McClain said his brain is tired and he needs to get his "head checked.""Need to tell my story of how my head is crazy and how football did it," McClain wrote. "Please someone help me get this out the @NFL puts paperwork in out (sic) faces and thats it."Reports show an increasing number of retired NFL players who have suffered repetitive hits to the head have developed memory and cognitive issues such as dementia, Alzheimer's, depression and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). CTE is a degenerative disease of the brain and is associated with repeated head traumas like concussions.The NFL acknowledged a connection between football and CTE for the first time in 2016 and has since rolled out initiatives intended to increase the game's safety and to prevent and treat head injuries.But McClain said he hasn't received the treatment he needs and called on the NFL for help."I have to get my head checked. (KGTV) - Disney fans will be able to get their fill of toys, games, accessories, clothing, and other merchandise this fall at 25 Target stores nationwide. The entertainment giant is opening what it describes as “shop-in-shop” locations starting in October, according to Target officials. Disney’s store experience in Target will include music, interactive displays, photo ops, and a Disney movie clip screening area. 450 items will be available, including 100 products that were previously only available at Disney retail locations, Target officials say. (KGTV) - Families who are caught illegally entering the U.S. will likely be broken up under a new border security policy that is now in effect, the Los Angeles Times reported Monday.The newspaper, citing a Department of Homeland Security official, reported a new Trump administration policy would separate parents and children in the event a family is detained for crossing the U.S.-Mexico border illegally.In a news conference Monday, Attorney General Jeff Sessions said the separation is due to the legal process, adding that citizens in the U.S. are also separated from their families when they're arrested.According to the report, families that are detained for illegal crossings have typically been kept together in the past. (KGTV) — A new challenger is approaching the video game market, and it's aiming to become the Netflix of video games.Google Tuesday introduced a new video game streaming service called Stadia. The platform promises to deliver gamers instant access to games on TV, mobile devices, or desktop computers in resolutions up to 4K and 60 frames per second."When players use Stadia, they'll be able to access their games at all times, and on virtually any screen," the company said in a release. "And developers will have access to nearly unlimited resources to create the games they’ve always dreamed of."RELATED: Video games are now a legitimate high school sportIn a contrast to many video game consoles and PCs, Google says Stadia won't require any downloads, updates, patches or installs for its content.Stadia also comes with its own controller, supported through WiFi. However, Google has also inserted a Google Assistant button for its AI-powered virtual assistant.
