Anyone with info call 727-893-7780 pic.twitter.com/zoICcaYvpI— St. Pete Police (@StPetePD) July 7, 2020 The area is used by several drivers to cut to busy 34th Street South and police officers hope someone may have seen something suspicious while driving on 38th Avenue S.The area where the remains were found does not have any surveillance cameras and is not in direct view of many homes or businesses, according to detectives.Officers spent hours Tuesday looking in the wooded area around the overpass but did not find the rest of the body.Ernest Lee lives in the neighborhood and says he was in disbelief Tuesday morning as the path he walks several times a week turned into a crime scene.“I do a lot of walking and we have a whole community that walks around here so I’m surprised none of us came across it," Lee explained. “The whole neighborhood is concerned because that could be someone we know.”Detectives say the woman who found the remains told police she jogs in the area often but did not see anything suspicious during her previous run in the same area over the weekend.Rafael Lopez, a spokesperson for the St. Petersburg Police Department says it is too early to determine the gender, age or race of the remains. Lopez also said the head was decomposed and it is unknown how long the remains may have been present near the road.“We do have a wooded area on both ends so although we are in the center of the city, it occurred in a pocket where it is pretty hard to determine if anyone saw anything at all," Lopez added. "We’re asking the public if they saw anything or were around this area in the last several days to give us a call.”This story is developing. HONOLULU (AP) — Hawaii's governor says that starting Oct. 15, travelers arriving from out of state may bypass a 14-day quarantine requirement if they test negative for COVID-19.Travelers will have to take the test within 72 hours before their flight arrives in the islands.The governor, David Ige, says drug store operator CVS and healthcare provider Kaiser Permanente will conduct the tests as part of an agreement with the state.Travelers will need to be able to show proof of their negative test results from a CLIA certified laboratory. Those who can’t will be required to quarantine for two weeks or until they can provide proof of their test results.Ige said in a press release that the new pre-travel testing program “is an important step toward reviving our economy while continuing to protect public health.”Earlier this year, Hawaii had plans to start a pre-travel testing program on Aug. 1 but had to postpone them as COVID-19 cases spiked on the U.S. mainland and in Hawaii. GLENDALE, AZ — It's official: The San Francisco 49ers will play their next two home games in Arizona after local COVID-19 restrictions prevented them from playing at their home field."The San Francisco 49ers have come to an agreement with the National Football League and Arizona Cardinals which allows the 49ers to host their Weeks 13 and 14 home games against the Buffalo Bills and Washington Football Team at State Farm Stadium in Arizona," the 49ers said Monday in a statement.Over the weekend, California's Santa Clara County announced a number of new COVID-19 restrictions, which banned all sports — professional, collegiate, and youth — and required people to quarantine for two weeks if they traveled 150 miles away.Levi's Stadium, home to the 49ers, is located in Santa Clara County."The Cardinals organization, State Farm Stadium and League officials have been supportive and accommodating as we work through the many logistical issues involved in relocating NFL games," the Arizona Cardinals said in a statement.The Cardinals will host the Los Angeles Rams at State Farm Stadium on Sunday, Dec. 6.
