Slowiczek suggests sanitizing the door handles, steering wheel, radio and the metal tongue on the seatbelt in the rental van.Using moversBefore picking a moving company, check its website or call and ask about its safety practices in response to the pandemic, Slowiczek says. Ask whether the movers wear masks and gloves during the move.On moving day, she suggests being prepared with a plan to limit interaction with movers and maintain social distancing. This includes packing as many things as you can yourself, or consider using a self-pack moving container as Slowiczek did for her own recent move.If the movers will pack the truck, create a schedule for the movers. More than 228,000 pounds of Hormel Spam and other canned meat products are being recalled because they might contain shards of metal, according to the US Department of Agriculture.The department's Food Safety Inspection Service said Saturday that the problem was discovered after four customers complained of metal objects in canned Hormel products. The FSIS did not say how the pieces of metal might have gotten into the products.Throughout the US, 12-ounce metal cans labeled "SPAM Classic" with the designation "EST. 199N" should not be eaten because of a risk of minor oral injuries, FSIS said. The cans have a "Best By" date of February 2021 and carry the following production codes: F020881, F020882, F020883, F020884, F020885, F020886, F020887, F020888 and F020889.Possibly contaminated cans of meat were also distributed in Guam. These 12-ounce metal cans contain "Hormel Food Black-Label Luncheon Loaf." The recalled cans are marked "Best By" February 2021 and carry the production codes F02098 and F02108.The products should be immediately thrown away or returned to the place of purchase, FSIS said. More than a million chainsaws from Harbor Freight Tools are being recalled because the power switch can malfunction causing a serious injury hazard. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, even after the power switch is moved to the "off" position the chainsaws can continue to operate.Harbor Freight Tools has received 15 reports of chainsaws continuing to operate after being turned, resulting in three laceration injuries — including one serious injury to the arm requiring stitches.The recall includes two models of 14-inch chainsaws sold under three different brand names: 623
