A parrot in the United Kingdom used his owner’s Alexa to shop online while his owner was away, according to the Daily Mail. According to the paper, the parrot’s owner, Marion Wischnewski, decided to foster him after volunteering at a sanctuary. The bird was placed at the sanctuary because staff feared his use of swear words would upset people. After taking the bird home, Wischnewski, said she started noticing that the bird was purchasing things like watermelon, raisins, ice cream, a light bulb and even a kite while she was away. A video of a proposal from a Michigan couple is going viral for all of the wrong reasons after the woman's son dropped his pants and peed mid proposal.According to WNEM, Kevin Przytula brought his girlfriend, Allyssa, to Bay City over the weekend to propose.When he dropped to one knee, Allyssa's son dropped his pants and couldn't hold it any longer, peeing right in the shot.The couple didn't even notice until the person behind the camera giggled and got their attention."Oh my God he's peeing," Przytula said.As of Monday afternoon, the video has been viewed more than 3,000 times. 603

A Valrico, Florida mom is sharing her experience on social media after she said she was asked asked to wait outside the Plant City DMV office with her infant daughter.Liz Gatley, a stay-at-home mother of three girls, said she was asked by a representative at the Plant City Tag Office to take her one-year-old daughter outside or come back another day. In a picture on Facebook you can see at least four young children, one in a stroller, and the mothers waiting outside the office. Gatley said her daughter, as well as the other children were not being disruptive and said she's a firm believer of taking them outside if they were. In the post, Gatley wrote, "I was so mad but I was also embarrassed and confused," she said. She went on to say, "for you to embarrass me and be extremely rude, unapologetic and not understanding the fact many moms are stay at home moms with little to no help, is what bothers me."Gatley said she and the mothers stood outside with no bench or air conditioning as they waited two hours to be seen at the office. At the end of the post she said, "if you have children, go to another location!"Doug Belden with the Hillsborough County Tax Collector's spoke with Tampa-based WFTS on Friday afternoon. A nonprofit group dedicated to finding missing persons says they've found items that "brought a lot of interest" during their search for missing Fort Hood soldier Vanessa Guillen.Guillen, a private first class soldier assigned to the 3rd Cavalry Regiment, was reported missing on April 22. She was last seen in the parking lot of her Regimental Engineer Squadron Headquarters on Fort Hood at 11:30 a.m.The Army is currently investigating whether Guillen was sexually harassed prior to her disappearance. On Tuesday, Guillen's family met with officials from Fort Hood and the Texas Criminal Investigation Command (CID) who said that they suspect foul play in her disappearance.A number of organizations have joined efforts to find Guillen, including Texas EquuSearch — a local nonprofit dedicated to finding missing persons.Tim Miller says this is the fifth time he and Texas Equusearch have traveled to search the area for Guillen."Areas that we've searched, we've cleared," said Miller. "If she would have been there, we would have found her."The search-and-rescue team has searched several areas in and around a 25 mile stretch between Fort Hood and the Leon River, looking for anything that could lead to Guillen."I'm not going to say we found evidence in the Leon River. I'm not going to say that. I am going to say we found some things that are being tested," Miller said. "So whether they have anything to do with the case, I don't know. There's certainly some things that brought a lot of interest."Wednesday's search brought them to an undisclosed location in Bell County."I can't say why we're here," Miller said.
