LOS ANGELES, Calif. (KGTV) -- Federal agents are in the process of seizing hundreds of guns from a home in a wealthy Los Angeles neighborhood, according to KABC. ATF agents could be seen laying out hundreds, possibly even thousands of guns in the Holmby Hills neighborhood near Sunset Boulevard and Beverly Glen. Many of the weapons appeared in a live video to be rifles. No details have so far been provided by ATF. The agency did say that it executed the search warrant as part of an ongoing investigation. Michigan's tallest man has died. Michael D. Lanier, 48, of Troy, died Wednesday, April 25 at Beaumont Hospital. He was 7 feet 7 inches tall.Lanier and his twin brother, Jim, were in the Guinness Book of Records as the tallest identical twins in the world. Michael is survived by his wife Janet “Battani” Lanier of Troy and her children Christopher Campbell of Jackson & Kathryn Campbell of Troy, siblings: Jennifer (Michael) Toomajian of Troy, James (Michele) Lanier of Greenwood, Indiana, Gary (Traci) Lanier of Plymouth, MI., Also survived by nieces & nephews: Hunter, Jared, & Jessica Toomajian, Daniel & Sarah Lanier, and Kaden, Katherine, & Karl Lanier. No details have been released on the cause of death. 759

Massachusetts is the first state since the deadly shooting in Las Vegas last month to ban bump stocks, the gun accessory the shooter used to increase his rate of fire.Bump stocks became a major source of discussion among lawmakers across the country after the attachments were found on the guns of Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock, who killed 58 and injured some 500 last month. But talk of banning the devices nationwide appears to have stalled.Beginning in 2018, penalties for the possession or use of a bump stock or trigger crank in Massachusetts will range from probation to life in prison, Representative David Linsky, a Democrat who proposed the amendment, told CNN.The new law defines a bump stock as "any device for a weapon that increases the rate of fire achievable with such weapon by using energy from the recoil of the weapon to generate a reciprocating action that facilitates repeated activation of the trigger."In other words, the devices allow semi-automatic rifles to fire more rapidly, similar to automatic weapons. LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A Kentucky judge ruled Tuesday that a grand juror in the Breonna Taylor case is allowed to speak publicly. The grand juror alleges the jury was not given a chance to weigh charges directly connected to Taylor's death against the Louisville police officers who shot her.Jefferson Circuit Court Judge Annie O'Connell released a statement in her ruling, saying the order is not intended to coerce, compel or even encourage any grand juror to come forward.
