SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- California has some of the most expensive gas in the entire country, and a new study by GasBuddy also claims the Golden State also has some of the most aggressive drivers.According to the study, California ranks number one with most aggressive drivers followed by Connecticut and Georgia.The study claims those aggressive habits are also costing Californians cold hard cash. GasBuddy says aggressive driving habits costs an additional 7 per year in fuel.The habits include hard braking, speeding and rapid acceleration.Further finding indicate that the more heavily populated the city, the more motorists drive aggressively.Check out the chart below:  687

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — City officials hope to get the construction process for a proposed downtown park, aimed at being an anchor for San Diego's East Village, off the ground this summer.The proposed 4.1-acre, million East Village Green will sit between F and G Streets stretching from 13th St. to 15th St. The massive stretch of green space in the heart of downtown San Diego will feature an 11,000-square-foot multi-use lawn, plaza and fountain areas, children's garden, 14,200-square-foot community center, dog parks, and room for food facilities, according to development plans.RELATED: Officials to break ground on county's first bike skills park in South BayThe green would also include an underground parking structure for 200 vehicles. "The City will be maintaining and programming East Village Green, and Civic [San Diego] hopes to start the bid solicitation process in late summer," according to Kimberly Moore with Civic San Diego. Plans show an additional multi-use lawn, children's garden, and casual park space in the park's future. Part of the construction process will also involve restoring nearby historic homes, which sit at the corner of F and 15th Streets. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Chelsea Manning, a former Army intelligence analyst who provided classified information to Wikileaks, spoke Monday at San Diego State University.Manning was convicted in 2013 of stealing 750,000 pages of documents and videos relating to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.A judge convicted Manning - then known as Bradley Manning - on 20 counts, including violations of the Espionage Act.After the 2013 sentencing, the ex-intelligence agent changed her name to Chelsea Manning and became a transgender woman.During one of his final acts in office, President Barack Obama commuted Manning's 35-year sentence, giving her an early release date.RELATED: Chelsea Manning released after 7 years in prisonManning has since joined the lecture circuit.
