The CDC announced Friday a pilot project intended on decreasing chronic diseases in high-risk communities. They then allegedly strangled Marlen, before taking the baby from her womb.The Figueroas face first-degree murder charges.Ochoa says he is frustrated because COVID-19 has forced the courts to reschedule the hearings over and over.The National District Attorneys Association says there are backlogs of criminal cases in every state, and daily court dockets have fewer cases because of the social-distancing restrictions. The Clark County School District is using the field at Boulder City High School as the basis of design on upcoming bids for artificial turf projects. That design utilizes an organic infill consisting of a mixture of cork and sand. Any materials submitted as part of bids will be reviewed by the appropriate design professional retained by CCSD for the project.Additionally, CCSD’s decision to move away from crumb rubber infill was solely a response to the heat generated by this type of infill. Welker will open each segment with a question and each candidate will have two minutes to respond. Trump and Biden will then have an opportunity to respond to each other.Changes to upcoming debatesThe day after the first debate, the Commission on Presidential Debates announced that there will be changes made “to ensure a more orderly discussion of the issues” at future debates this election season."Last night’s debate made clear that additional structure should be added to the format of the remaining debates to ensure a more orderly discussion of the issues," the commission said in a statement. "The CPD will be carefully considering the changes that it will adopt and will announce those measures shortly."The commission also said it's grateful to Chris Wallace for the "professionalism and skill" he brought to first debate, and they intend to ensure that additional tools to maintain order are in place for the remaining debates. 2905

The city manager for Alameda, California, said a formal investigation is underway following the arrest of a man dancing in a street as part of his exercise routine.The man, Mali Watkins, was charged with resisting arrest. Why he was arrested in the first place is unclear.On May 23, two officers from Alameda Police approached the man after police received a report that a man was dancing in the street. When police arrived, they discovered Mali dancing in the street.When asked why he was dancing, Mali stated it was part of his exercise routine.After Mali began to walk away, videos show officers grabbing Mali by the wrist and detaining him. Mali was told if he resisted, he would be charged with resisting arrest, which is what happened.The city of Alameda said that the man is a resident of the city and is African American.“At this time, I do not know the reasons why the initial officers approached the call the way they did. I am hopeful that an investigation will provide better understanding to that question,” City Manager Eric Levitt said.In the last few days, the city has released body warn camera footage from the incident, in addition to a call into the police’s non-emergency line.
