Fleetwood Mac and Lindsey Buckingham are cutting ties.A representative for the band confirmed to CNN on Monday that Buckingham and the band have parted ways and that he will not be going on tour with them in the fall."Lindsey Buckingham will not be performing with the band on this tour," a statement read. "The band wishes Lindsey all the best."The representative would not provide any further details as to what led to his departure. A source close to the band told CNN that the split was "over musical differences regarding the tour." A representative for Buckingham referred questions to the band.Buckingham joined Fleetwood Mac in 1974, the same year as the band's longtime lead singer, Stevie Nicks. Buckingham, who has since served as the lead guitarist for the band, wrote some of the band's most well-known songs including "Go Your Own Way," which was the lead single off the band's highly successful 1977 album, Rumours.The vague statement regarding Buckingham's abrupt departure came at the same time the band announced that musicians Mike Campbell and Neil Finn would be joining the band on tour.Fleetwood Mac was originally founded in 1967 by Peter Green. The band was named after two of its band members, Mick Fleetwood and John McVie. Green left the band in 1969. Christine McVie joined the band in 1970.Over the years the band has experienced ups and downs. The band went on hiatus in 1982 and when they agreed to go back on tour in 1987, Buckingham backed out at the last minute. In 1998, Christine McVie left the band and rejoined in 2014.During a Grammy event in January, CNN spoke to Buckingham, who said said that the "dysfunction" is what made the band great."Everything that we wore on our sleeve, the discord and nature of the band, was the people breaking up, the dysfunction. Even if you look at, on paper the five people they don't look like they would belong in the same band together but it adds up to something bigger than the sum of the parts. Right below all of that dysfunction is a great, great deal of love."Buckingham also spoke to CNN about his widely publicized breakup with Nicks, which took place while the band was recording Rumours."There was a time when I was certainly waiting for her to come back and she never did," Buckingham said. For companies hiring right now, ensuring you're hiring the most qualified candidate can be tricky. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way businesses approach hiring and are forcing them to recruit remotely. "Everything we’ve always done previously has been in person. It’s always been encouraged to do in-person, face-to-face communication. From a job seeker's perspective, obviously, it helps to be in-person and kind of take their facial cues and whatnot, so we really had to change everything we were doing," says Erik Cherkaski with the Fresno Regional Workforce Development Board. Cherkaski says one of his main jobs is to recruit employees for local businesses. Because of the pandemic, their recruiting services are now virtual. Recently, the organization has been holding virtual job fairs for a number of large employers."I think one day we had logistics, so we had some of our local fulfillment centers on. Another day we had the service industry on, so some of the local retailers that were doing mass hiring [participated]. Then, we had a focus on government, as well. So, some of the local and state organizations that were doing some hiring and we had some very good turnout. This was new territory for us," said Cherkaski.Employers held virtual presentations for candidates who tuned in using online meeting platforms like Zoom and Webex. "It was very engaging. We got good feedback from our employers and we are looking to do it again. So that was very positive for us to see that we can do something like this online," said Cherkaski.College students and recent graduates are also finding their first career move by participating in online events. Handshake, which helps connect more than 500,000 employers with college students looking for a job or internship, says it's expanding it's virtual services to accommodate universities who've put their in-person career fairs on hold."There are a lot of opportunities that do still exist even with the change in the economy this particular year. We have so many students across so many different walks of life that are looking in for those opportunities to be able to just jump start their career," said Christine Cruzvergara, with Handshake. To help, Handshake created a new virtual engagement module."That is going to allow employers to be able to actually segment, campaign and reach out to candidates that meet the different criteria and qualifications that they are looking for, across all of our thousands of universities and colleges. They can go beyond the basic qualifications in a virtual fair to be even more tailored around, for example, some of their DEI requirements or their goals," said Cruzvergara.Handshake hopes the new tools not only help employers narrow down the types of students they want to hire, but also helps students. "It's going to allow students to maximize the time they do have in between classes or in-between their part time jobs or things they might be doing other responsibilities or obligations they have," said Cruzvergara.As for how long Fresno Regional Workforce Development Board will be holding their recruiting events virtually, Cherkaski said, "if you were to have asked me this four months ago I would have said, Oh this isn’t going to go on too long but now we're four months in and I suspect were going to be doing this for the foreseeable future."Both Fresno Regional Workforce Development Board and Handshake believe even when COVID-19 restrictions are lifted completely, employers will still want to use virtual recruiting events to widen their candidate search.Editor's note: An earlier version of this story incorrectly identified Christine Cruzvergara's last name. 3693

Ford is recalling about 350,000 trucks for a problem that could cause them to roll even after the driver shifts into park.The automaker says the issue affects 2018 Ford F-150 and Ford Expedition vehicles with 10-speed automatic transmissions, as well as Ford F-650 and F-750 vehicles with 6-speed automatic transmissions.Ford says a piece of equipment on the affected vehicles can become dislodged over time, which means the car won't be in the gear that it looks like it's in, such as park.This means that if the driver shifts the car into park, the car might not actually be in park — and there would not be a warning message to indicate that. If he or she doesn't use a parking brake, Ford says the vehicle could roll.Ford says it's aware of one reported accident and injury.The company is also recalling more than 100 other vehicles for a missing transmission roll pin. If the pin is missing, the company says that the transmission on those vehicles might eventually lose the ability to park, even if the driver shifts the car into that gear.Ford says that problem affects around 160 of the 2017 and 2018 Ford F-150s, 2018 Ford Expeditions, 2018 Lincoln Navigators and 2018 Ford Mustangs with 10R80 transmissions.  1231

For the first time in its 30 year history, Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando and Hollywood have been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.The park posted the news on the Universal Orlando website. "Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood have made the difficult decision to not hold Halloween Horror Nights events this year," officials said in the statement. "Universal Orlando Resort will be focusing exclusively on operating its theme parks for daytime guests, using the enhanced health and safety procedures already in place. Universal Studios Hollywood continues to face ongoing business restrictions and uncertainty around its opening timeframe. We know this decision will disappoint our fans and guests. We are disappointed, too.
