TEMECULA, Calif. (KGTV) -- The United States Geological Survey is reporting that an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.4 struck near Temecula. According to the USGS, the quake hit around 6:24 p.m. roughly 20 miles east of Temecula. A 3.0 magnitude aftershock hit the same area at 6:53 p.m. Residents of the town reported feeling the quake. According to the USGS "did you feel it" map, residents all over San Diego and Orange Counties felt the earthquake. Area businesses reported feeling shaking. He had the Democratic nominee on the ropes in Thursday's election, tallying twice as many votes -- 51,804 to Haney's 26,224.It was a much easier victory than his primary win over fellow Republican Brad Anders, who took the wrestling superstar to the mat -- Jacobs only won that race by a 23 vote margin.In his wrestling persona Jacobs, most often a "heel" or villain, is a fan favorite. Synthetic weed tainted with rat poison has made its way to Milwaukee and it’s been linked to at least three illnesses in the city in 24 hours. Dr. Jon Meiman with the state health department says the effects of the fake drug can be “unpredictable,” with side effects ranging from nausea to seizures and even death. "The synthetic cannabinoids that we're seeing here are causing severe bleeding, and that's very unusual,” Meiman said. The synthetic pot can be found at gas stations and other convenience stores sold under names like K2 or Spice. The drug is meant to minim the effects of marijuana but can be far more dangerous. "They work on the same parts of the brain that marijuana does, but they can have very different effects depending on the specific chemicals," Meiman said. The health department says it’s sent two people to the hospital in Milwaukee. In nearby Chicago, the poison-laced product is linked to three deaths. Health officials are trying to trace the source of the rat poison-synthetic pot.  1061

Take a peak into Jamya Wiley's world."I'm a varsity cheerleader, I'm on the varsity track team, varsity cross country team, I'm in the national honor society," Wiley said. At 17-years-old, the shy but joyful teenager is on a mission."College is really expensive," she said.From an early age Jamya decided to hit the books and now her years of hard work and weighted 6.1 GPA are paying off.The Fort Pierce, Florida teen has earned more than million in scholarships."It was amazing to know that I was that, I was the top person, that I got the most amount of scholarships out of any student that ever attended Lincoln Park," she told Scripps station WPTV in West Palm Beach, Florida. Jamya said she knew success was in her future, but others couldn't always see it."At honor roll ceremonies, or things where I would get awards, people would come up to me and say, 'wow'. I would appreciate it, but it was kind of like they didn't expect it or it's uncommon," she said. The million in scholarships won't make Jamya take it easy. The Lincoln Park Academy student said she's setting new goals."That all and all encourages me to just do my best and encourage other kids that look like me to do their best so that we can change the story," she said. Jamya has five colleges on her final list and she expects to choose one this weekend.
