SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Harbor Police have cited a charter company for violating the county's health order. A sergeant for Harbor PD confirmed with 10News that Flagship Cruises and Events was cited for being in violation. The county health order states that recreational boating is allowed provided all occupants of a boat are from the same household.10News cameras were rolling as people walked onto the Flagship Cruises and Events dock and onto the company's Spirit of San Diego, capturing the boat's departure and arrival back into the bay. It is unclear if those boarding were all members of one family. 10News reached out to the company and a spokesperson sent us a picture of the county health order saying "We are stating we are part of section 14E, not C. That section states in part, "other public or private outdoor recreational facilities (other than community pools per State order), including recreational equipment (such as bicycle, boat, kayak, equestrian and surfboard) rentals may be open for limited use."Flagship's website states, "We are Open" and has several sections outlining how they are operating during the pandemic. One section states that masks are required for passengers and everyone must respect six-feet social distancing guidelines. The website also states that all employees will be in masks, gloves and screen upon arrival. Also adding that the company is limiting the number of passengers per cruise to allow for maximum distancing and that they've invested in new machinery to sanitize all chairs between cruises. Harbor Police says the citation for violating the county health order has a maximum fine of a thousand dollars and up to a year in jail. 1702

And for over 30 years, he has served in what he calls his ultimate role as the leader of his church. What was his calling?“I think I found out at an early age that my purpose or destiny was to serve,” says Bishop McGriff with a smile.The Bishop serves in so many ways with his congregation. They collect food for the less fortunate. He even founded a Christian based University focusing on Theology and Entrepreneurship. But the military has always been very close to Bishop McGriff’s heart. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego County is gearing up to give out free sandbags ahead of expected heavy rains. Am atmospheric river is set to bring downpours to the county Monday through Thursday, the National Weather Service says. County officials say it’s important to be prepared because topsoil, mud, plant material, and debris can clog culverts and storm drains and damage roadways. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Recent changes at the border are being felt as President Trump considers a total border shutdown to combat the immigration crisis. Customs and Border Protection officials announced the reduction of the commercial lanes at Otay Mesa from 10 lanes to 8 Tuesday. “4 to 5 hours,” said one driver who added another man in his fleet took more than 6 hours to make it across Wednesday. Companies say drivers are missing deadlines or just skipping the day altogether to avoid the delays. “They lose millions,” said driver Benjamin Alfaro on the already cumbersome process taking even longer, “so if they don’t do that in the normal time of course they lose money. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer and community leaders broke ground Tuesday on a Mission Bay park makeover in honor of a woman who died serving her community. Maruta Gardner was struck and killed by a DUI driver in 2016 while she was removing graffiti. The park in Bonita Cove is being named in her honor and receive a “much-needed makeover” for the playground, city officials say. Security lighting will also be enhanced.
