LOGAN HEIGHTS (KGTV) - Police are investigating a stabbing in Logan Heights that left one man injured.The stabbing happened just before 6:20 p.m. Sunday in the 3000 block on National Avenue near 30th Street.Police say the man was stabbed in an alley at least two times, once in the leg and once in the face.The man was transported to UCSD with non-life threatening injuries.There were no witnesses to the stabbing.Police say they are currently looking at cameras in the area to identify a suspect.Residents in the area told 10News that crime has been increasing in their neighborhood. 592

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Authorities are seeking to dismiss roughly 2 million old minor warrants and citations in the hopes of easing legal burdens on the Los Angeles homeless population.The offices of the Los Angeles district attorney, city attorney and police chief announced the filing of the motions Wednesday, saying they are seeking to reduce the court’s backlog and focus on serious offenses.Homelessness rose 16% in LA over the past year, to more than 36,000 people, according to a June report by the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority.The city and district attorneys are also seeking to dismiss old fines and fees for minor violations.Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore told The Associated Press in July that he considered homelessness to be a “humanitarian crisis of our generation.” 803

LONDON (AP) — British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced that the government is putting all of England under a monthlong lockdown next week after being warned that a resurgent coronavirus outbreak will overwhelm hospitals in weeks without tough action. A fifth venue, The Fillmore in Philadelphia, "is in the final stages of the vetting process."In addition, the company says it is working with local officials across the country to "determine the feasibility" of using 100-plus Live Nation venues as polling places.
