SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Nearly two dozen children were hurt over the weekend after a platform collapsed at a San Diego indoor parkour gym.One of the people hurt said her 10-year-old son was one of her rescuers.It was kid’s night out, so most parents dropped their kids off. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are asking for the public’s help searching for a missing 13-year-old girl who disappeared from San Diego in late November. According to police, Kymilah Wolford went missing from her home in the Emerald Hills area of Southeastern San Diego on November 30 around 10 a.m. Wolford was last seen wearing black leggings and a gray hoodie. She is described as five feet, four inches tall, weighs approximately 170 pounds and has short, black hair and brown eyes. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Passengers in a deadly bus crash near Fallbrook on I-15 Saturday suffered broken bones, cuts and scrapes, according to California Highway Patrol.A 23-year-old woman from Mexico, a 73-year-old woman from Pasadena, and a 67-year-old woman from Riverside lost their lives in the crash.In a press release CHP stated 8 of the 20 passengers were from Mexico, one was from Temecula and the others were from Southern California. Five are at the Palomar Medical Center.CHP issued a correction, saying there were 21 people total on the bus, instead of 22 as they reported Saturday. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - New bathrooms are in place downtown as San Diego deals with a hepatitis A outbreak that's affecting the homeless.Four new portable restrooms are located at the intersection of First Ave. and C St. near City Hall.  Crews will clean them at least twice per day and they will be monitored with full-time security, according to a City spokesperson. A hand washing station is also in the area."The installation of more public restrooms is important to stop the spread of hepatitis A," said Jonathan Herrera, the City's Senior Advisor on Homeless Coordination. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Neglecting dental hygiene can not only impact a person's overall health but also their self-esteem. For many San Diegans, a lack of insurance means they don't see a dentist for years or even decades. “I’ve seen people in my practice in the private area that haven’t been to the dentist in 20 to 40 years," said Dr. Irvin Silverstein, director of the UCSD Student-Run Free Clinic Project.The student-run clinic has been working to fill the gap for low-income patients in San Diego for 20 years. “The biggest thing it has done is help meet the need in San Diego for a lot of underserved people. People think that underserved means homelessness or out on the streets, no. We see a lot of working poor," said Silverstein. He says the American Dental Association (ADA) is acknowledging dentistry should be a benefit in Medicare; to at least get teeth cleaned twice a year and examined.Medicaid does provide some dental coverage, but there are limitations, and only 20 percent of dentists nationwide accept it, according to the Center for Healthcare Strategies, Inc. Dr. Silverstein says he often sees parents getting care for their children while neglecting their own. “They’ll put off going to the dentist, and by the time they realize they have a problem, it’s so expensive they don’t know what to do.
