SHANGHAI, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- Five days away from the first China International Import Expo (CIIE), foreign exhibitors at the event are rushing to make final touches to their booths to ensure their exhibits shine.
Recalling his state visit to the South American country in 2016, Xi said the healthy and steady development of China-Ecuador ties goes with not only the fundamental interests of the two countries and peoples but also the trend of peace, development and win-win cooperation.
In 2005, China and Portugal established a comprehensive strategic partnership, which enabled their mutually beneficial cooperation to embark on a fast lane of development and deliver substantial benefits to the people of the two countries, Xi said.
"The decision made by our two sides to establish a strategic cooperative partnership is to ... deliver greater benefits to our two peoples through our cooperation," Xi said.
Xi asked Ri to convey his cordial greetings to Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of DPRK.
