BOSTON (AP) — A federal appeals court has upheld a district court decision clearing Harvard University of intentional discrimination against Asian American applicants. Two judges on the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Boston rejected claims from an anti-affirmative action group that accuses the Ivy League university of imposing a "racial penalty" on Asian Americans. The decision delivers a blow to the group, Students for Fair Admissions, and moves the case a step closer to a possible review by the U.S. Supreme Court. The group's 2014 lawsuit alleges that Harvard's admissions officers use a subjective "personal rating" to discriminate against Asian Americans who apply to the school. BOSTON (AP) — Colleges and universities are pushing back against the Trump administration’s decision to make international students leave the country if they plan on taking classes entirely online this fall. Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology filed a lawsuit seeking to block the rule Wednesday, and other universities are promising to work with students to keep them in the country. The Trump administration says the directive will allow for proper social distancing on campuses. BORDEN, Ind. — A plane crashed Friday morning in southern Indiana, killing multiple people. According to WHAS, the ABC affiliate in Louisville, the crash happened in Borden, Indiana at about 11:30 a.m., in the 2600 block of Crone Road. The plane that crashed could hold about 10 passengers, Clark County Sheriff Jamie Noel said. No survivors have been located at this time, Noel said. The sheriff's office said there were multiple fatalities, WHAS reported.He said it was very difficult to access the scene of the crash due to it being in a wooded area.  582
