FRANKLIN, Indiana — Authorities in Indiana are warning people of a scam involving a person who is claiming to be a sheriff's deputy in order to deceive people into sending money.According to a report from the Johnson County Sheriff's Office, a woman came to the Johnson County Jail on Wednesday who said while she was at work she received a call from an individual who claimed to be a sheriff's deputy.The individual told the woman she had a warrant for her arrest due to failure to appear for jury duty selection. The suspect told the woman if she wanted to avoid arrest she needed to pay the fines by purchasing ,000 worth of Apple Store gift cards. The suspect also told the woman she would need to go to the sheriff's office with her receipts to prove her identity.After making the initial purchase in pre-paid gift cards, the suspect informed the woman 0 was not transferred, according to the sheriff's office. The suspect reportedly told the woman to purchase another 0 in pre-paid Apple gift cards. The woman said she was on the phone with the suspect for approximately two hours until all the transactions were made and confirmed. She then drove to the sheriff's office where she was informed she was the victim of a scam.The woman was distraught and told deputies she is recently divorced and the money used from her saving account was being saved for her children's Christmas gifts. 1413

Four sisters from Nebraska were ecstatic when they found out they were all pregnant at the exact same time.Elizabeth, Danielle, Michelle, and Sarah delivered not four but five babies, all in the course of 12 days.Elizabeth Kohlhoff delivered twins on April 29."Danielle was the first," Elizabeth said. "And then Sarah and Michelle and I were like thank goodness it's not me! And then all of a sudden I'm like oh wow, me now."Elizabeth, Danielle, Michelle, and Sarah carried their babies during the pandemic. Grandma Mary was excited but worried about her daughters."It was scary," Mary Sneed, the grandmother, said. "It was all scary but you know pregnancy's scary. Having a baby is scary. So praise god everybody's healthy. It was perfect."Everything went well, and they delivered five babies. Twins Henry and Emma, Alivia, Josephine, and Natalie. The deliveries all taking place within 12 days."It was not planned at all. It was crazy," Elizabeth said.To grandma Mary - five is just a good starting point. FREMONT COUNTY, Idaho — Chad Daybell has pleaded not guilty after investigators say they found the remains of two missing children on his property.According to court documents obtained by KSTU on Monday, Daybell entered a not-guilty plea on Friday. The action, filed in the Fremont County court system, also included a request for a jury trial and pre-trial process.Daybell was charged with two felony counts of destruction or concealment of evidence last week after police say they found the remains of Joshua "J.J." Vallow and Tylee Ryan buried on his property in Salem, Idaho.He remains in jail on a million bond.Daybell married the two kids' mother, Lori Vallow, after they went missing in September and after his wife Tammy Daybell died in October. FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — Richard DeLisi is a free man after serving 31 years of a 90-year sentence for selling marijuana. The 71-year-old walked out of a Florida prison Tuesday saying he's not bitter about the lost years and prefers to focus on creating memories with his family. According to The Last Prisoner Project, DeLisi was believed to have been the longest-serving nonviolent cannabis prisoner.He was sentenced to 90 years in 1989 at the age of 40. DeLisi's older brother, Ted, was also convicted, USA Today reported.According to the Associated Press, the typical sentence was only 12 to 17 years.DeLisi told the AP that he believes he was targeted because the judge mistakenly thought he was part of organized crime because he was Italian. According to USA Today, Ted was released from prison in 2013 after successfully appealing his conspiracy conviction.While he was in prison, Richard's wife, parents, and 23-year-old son all died.
