Video appears to show a person pulled into an unmarked minivan as NYPD officers keep protesters away from the vehicle in Manhattan on Tuesday night.Protesters were near East 25th Street and Second Avenue when several arrests were made, police said. It's not clear why the arrests were made.Only one person was shown being taken into the minivan. A man in an orange shirt with "Warrant Squad" written across the back got into the front passenger seat before the minivan drove off.That woman was taken into custody because she allegedly damaged police cameras during five separate incidents in and around City Hall Park, NYPD officials said. Police said the arresting officers were assaulted with rocks & bottles.The NYPD has been using unmarked vehicles for decades, a spokesman said."The Warrant Squad uses unmarked vehicles to effectively locate wanted suspects," the NYPD tweeted.New York City Council Speaker Corey Johnson called it "incredibly disturbing."Public Advocate Jumaane Williams said he was looking into it."Concerned about what we are seeing in this video," he tweeted.Lawmakers throughout the city called for answers. Councilman Carlos Menchaca told New Yorkers to keep recording police officers."This cannot be tolerated," he tweeted. "This is a terrifying display of unaccountable power. Voters in San Francisco backed a plan to tax rich companies to help the homeless.The city-wide ballot measure called Proposition C passed by a wide margin: 60% to 40%. It will be the largest tax increase in San Francisco's history, doubling its current budget to fight homelessness.Prop C entered the national spotlight when big-name tech billionaires began debating the issue.Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff was Prop C's most visible and well-funded supporter, sinking nearly million into the "Yes on C" campaign. He gave numerous interviews and confronted his opponents on social media.Benioff accused Jack Dorsey, the CEO of Square and Twitter, of not not giving back to the city where his companies are headquartered. Dorsey opposed the measure, as did other companies with offices in the city including Stripe, Visa, and Lyft. San Francisco Mayor London Breed also opposed Prop C. 892

On Wednesday, the retail giant unveiled a reimagined store design in 200 Supercenters by early 2021 and 1,000 by next fiscal year.Walmart said that the new design would create a "seamless" Omni-shopping experience with more self-checkout kiosks and contactless payment options."We’re always listening to our customers and innovating our in-store, online, and mobile experiences to meet and exceed their expectations," said Janey Whiteside, EVP, and Chief Customer Officer, Walmart, in a blog post. VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) — It was a heart-pounding moment at a North County gas station after a homeless woman gave birth inside the bathroom. “I just seen some lady come out with a baby saying 'we need help this lady just gave birth',” said clerk Alex Ascencio. Ascencio had just started his shift Wednesday when the woman came inside of the store. When Ascencio saw the baby, he jumped into action, tending to the baby and dialing 911. “I just sat her down and make sure she had a pulse and that she was breathing; she was perfectly fine.”Ascencio says the woman tried to leave the store without the baby, but he convinced her to stay until paramedics arrived. Ascencio says he aspires to be a paramedic and his co-workers are praising him for his quick thinking. 770
