Olive Garden is bringing back its unlimited "Pasta Pass" promotion, which allows passholders eight weeks of unlimited pasta bowls.The restaurant plans to sell 22,000 passes at 0 each. The passes will go on sale Thursday, Sept. 14 at 2 p.m. ET and will be on sale for 30 minutes.They can be bought at PastaPass.com.Last year, the 21,000 passes that were up for grabs sold out in seconds.New this year is the "Pasta Passport to Italy," which includes an all-expenses paid trip for two to Italy.The 50 available "passports" will go on sale at the same time as the traditional passes. Officers in New Jersey broke up a large house party in New Jersey with hundreds of people in attendance, authorities said.Police responded to a residence along Mill Pond Road in Jackson following a report of a suspicious incident around 8:30 p.m., according to Jackson Police Department.Officers arrived and spoke with several neighbors who said a house on the street was rented out to a group that was having a large party, causing a disturbance.Police contacted the homeowner, who said he had rented out the residence on Airbnb.The party expanded to about 700 people in attendance, with over 100 vehicles parked in the area, according to police.Officers began clearing the crowd from the residence and the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office was contacted and authorized charges against the homeowner and party organizer for violating the state’s executive order in reference to the number of attendees allowed at a gathering.Officers from the Freehold Police Department, Howell Police Department, Lakewood Police Department, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, Ocean County Sheriff’s Department, and New Jersey State Police also responded to assist and clear the large crowd from the residence and direct traffic as people left the area, according to authorities.During that time, police also received a call from a resident nearby reporting people who attended the party had broken into their residence and were damaging property.An investigation determined a family member of the caller was at the original party and had invited a large group back to their residence. The group was then dispersed, police said.It took until 1 a.m. for the officers to clear the residences of partygoers and all the vehicles from the neighborhood.The homeowner, later identified as 40-year-old Yaakov Weiss and the party organizers, 23-year-old Patience Guanue and 22-year-old Alicia Hinneh, were issued summonses.Gov. Hearst says the brand is not going away but will become more “more digitally-centric,” with “some form of print." Oprah Winfrey launched O with Hearst in 2000 and today is the editorial director. It is among the country's most recognizable magazines. Hearst declined to answer why they were dropping the regular print edition, saying only it was a “natural next step." Opioids take about 2.5 months off our lives, according to a new analysis published in the medical journal JAMA.In 2015, American life expectancy dropped for the first time since 1993. Public health officials have hypothesized that opioids reduced life expectancy for non-Hispanic white people in the United States from 2000 to 2014. Researchers have now quantified how much opioids are shortening US life spans.The researchers noted that the number of opioid overdose deaths are probably underestimated because of gaps in how death certificates are completed.From 2000 to 2015, death rates due to heart disease, diabetes and other key causes declined, adding 2.25 years to US life expectancy. But increases in deaths from Alzheimer's disease, suicide and other causes offset some of those gains. On average, Americans can now expect to live 78.8 years, according to data from 2015, the most recent data available. That's a statistically significant drop of 0.1 year, about a month, from the previous year.Women can still expect to live longer than men -- 81.2 years vs. 76.3 years -- but both of those estimates were lower in 2015 than they were in 2014.Life expectancy at age 65 remained the same in 2015. Often as long-winded and cumbersome as its title, "The Personal History of David Copperfield" sputters at times but manages to make you feel good while you're sort of bored.In many ways, it's the ideal pandemic movie. The timeless, Job-like tale follows a put-upon man who is subject to one ludicrously unfair situation, managing to thrive by maintaining his faith in himself.Director Armando Iannucci ("In the Loop," "The Death of Stalin") has a clear love for the 1850 Charles Dickens source material. Maybe he has too much reverence for every laborious twist and turn of the gigantic novel, which seems more comfortable in a miniseries format rather than a tight two-hour package.You could hardly dream up a better cast. Dev Patel thrives in the lead role as adult David, granting him a can-do attitude that makes him easy to get behind amid all the challenges he faces.Hugh Laurie is deliciously cantankerous as the ne'er do well Mr. Dick, and Tilda Swinton is regal as Betsey Trotwood, whose own riches-to-rags tale echoes that of David.The producers assembled a refreshingly diverse cast to tell the old tale, and the choices largely make sense in historical context. Played by a man of Indian descent, the subtle racism and structural disadvantages David faces are all the more searing and impactful when they're based not on happenstance but partially on skin color.If only the story itself was injected with such reimagination. While the costumes and set design are exquisite, there's a stolid and creaky feel to the show that recalls a stuffy theatrical repertory production. Even at its best, Dickens is dense and bulky, and without much effort to recast and slim down the storylines for modern times, it's easy to get hopelessly lost amid the barrage of plodding plot developments.Despite its flaws, the film is a welcome sight for sore, theater-deprived moviegoers jonesing for a reason to grab a soda and bucket of popcorn and get back to the old routine.
