A 7-month-old baby in Ohio was hospitalized earlier this week with a blood alcohol level three times the limit of what an adult could drive with after she was left with a family member while her mother was working, according to a Cleveland police report.On Sunday, Cleveland police responded to University Hospitals of Cleveland Medical Center when a woman arrived with an infant who was unresponsive and limp, the report states.Hospital workers did a drug panel and then administered naloxone, believing the child may have overdosed, the report stated. Test results later indicated that the girl had a BAC of 0.25, which is over three times the legal limit for an adult behind the wheel.The mother told police that she left the child with a family member while she went to work. When the mother picked up her daughter, she noticed that the baby “was very tired and not acting herself” and she was getting worse.Police were told a family member might have put liquor in a bottle to get the child to stop crying and fall asleep, according to the report.Cleveland police detectives are investigating the case. 1119

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Trump administration’s coronavirus task force has announced strict new guidelines in an effort to restrict the spread of COVID-19, the illness caused by the virus. President Donald Trump said Monday that his administration is recommending the following: – Schooling from home, if possible – Avoiding gatherings of more than 10 people – Avoiding discretionary travel, shopping trips and social visits – And, avoiding bars, restaurants and food courts The White House is also recommending that older people and those with underlying health conditions “stay home and away from other people” as it continues to step up efforts to halt the pandemic.These guidelines are part of a campaign that the administration is calling, “15 days to slow the spread.”Specifically, the task force pleaded for millennials, America’s largest generation, to limit their interactions with others. “They are the core group that will stop this virus,” said Dr. Deborah Birx, the coordinator of the task force. “They are the group that communicates successfully, independent of picking up a phone.”Dr. Birx said millennials intuitively know how to contact each other without being in large social gatherings.“We’re asking all of them to hold their gatherings under 10 people. Not just in bars and restaurants, but in homes,” said Dr. Birx. “We really want people to be separated at this time. A Florida sheriff's deputy who worked at a school for children with emotional and behavioral problems is facing a felony charge after video shows him slamming a female student to the ground after she tapped his knee with her foot.Broward County Deputy Willard Miller was charged Tuesday with felony child abuse without great bodily harm for the Sept. 25 altercation. Sheriff Gregory Tony suspended him without pay until internal disciplinary procedures are complete.School security video shows Miller standing and texting inside an office at Cross Creek School when the 15-year-old walks behind him and uses her left foot to push the back of his right knee, causing it to buckle. She walks away.In the silent video, Miller can be seen speaking to the girl for just over a minute from about 10 feet (3 meters) away while two women watch.He then suddenly walks toward the girl, grabs her throat and throws her to the ground.He flips her onto her stomach, puts a knee against her back and pulls her arms behind her.He then forcibly lifts her up using her pinned arms and throws her out of the room, where an investigator's report says she slammed against a wall.Tony would not say what Miller and the girl said to each other after the knee tap, but he said nothing the girl said or did justified the 38-year-old deputy's actions.
