A wildfire burning in Arizona, just northeast of the Valley, is now the most massive fire actively burning in the country, according to officials.The wildfire has already demolished more than 114,000 acres, and it is just five percent contained, as of Thursday morning.The good news is no homes nor businesses have been destroyed, but some worry it is just a matter of time, as evacuations have been implemented in multiple towns.Fire crews say the wildfire has spread so rapidly and is difficult to contain because of the heat, low humidity, terrain, and high winds.The threat snuck up on Tonto Basin homeowners like Robyn Hill."I really wasn’t prepared for it. AGUANGA, Calif. (AP) -- Authorities say seven people were fatally shot in Southern California at an illegal marijuana growing operation.The crime scene was discovered around 12:30 a.m. Monday when Riverside County sheriff's deputies responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon at a residence in the community of Aguanga about 50 miles north of San Diego.Deputies found a woman suffering from gunshot wounds and paramedics took her to a hospital, where she died.Six more people were then found dead. A student at Monroe Middle School in Michigan is facing possible charges after bringing an inactive grenade to school and threatening to "blow up the school."Police were called to the school after the student showed the device to other students and made the threatening statements. Later interviews determined that he has shown it to others multiple times during the day.A school resources officer searched the student's locker and located the grenade. He noticed that it had been modified to make it incapable of detonating.Further inspection confirmed the device was not capable of exploding and did not pose a threat to anyone.The student was removed from class and taken into custody.
