(KGTV) -- A woman was killed Monday after police said she was run over by heavy machinery at an Oceanside beach.The incident was reported shortly after 10 a.m. in the 1200 block of North Pacific, Street, near Oceanside’s South Harbor, according to an Oceanside Police Department spokesperson.The spokesperson said the woman, who was not identified, was asleep on the beach when the equipment hit her. OCILLA, Ga. — A nurse at an immigration detention center in Georgia says authorities performed questionable hysterectomies, refused to test detainees for COVID-19 and shredded medical records.Advocacy group Project South has filed a complaint with the Homeland Security Department's internal watchdog that relies heavily on the nurse's words.That nurse, Dawn Wooten, worked at the Irwin County Detention Center in southern Georgia. In addition to holding detainees for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, it also serves those arrested by the U.S. Marshals and the Irwin County Sheriff's Department.In her complaint, Wooten called a gynecologist who works outside the facility, "the uterus collector." She claimed that nearly every inmate who saw the doctor received a hysterectomy and claimed the doctor removed the "wrong ovary" on at least one patient.Wooten said it was unclear if the patients — particularly immigrant women — knowingly agreed to the procedure, which would prevent them from having children in the future.She says she saw a sick-call nurse shred a box of detainee complaints without looking at them.Wooten claimed she was eventually fired from the facility for raising concerns about COVID-19. She said she was demoted after she missed time for presenting symptoms of the virus.She claims that inmates were likely infected with the virus at a rate much higher than reported because the facility declined to use two rapid-testing COVID-19 machines. (KGTV) -- Police arrested a 16-year-old boy after he reportedly killed a duck with a golf club in Ontario Wednesday, according to ABC 7 in Chicago.The teen shared video that appeared to show him striking the duck. The duck’s remains were later found at the Whispering Lakes Golf Course.The 16-year-old was issued a citation for felony animal abuse after being arrested at his home.Members of the Colony High School golfing team were practicing when one of them said they accidentally hit a duck while teeing off.The boy claims he killed the duck to put it out of its misery, however, police say there may be more to the story due to the video being posted on social media. Police have said the investigation is ongoing. 748
