(CNN) -- Burger King is trying to get customers' attention with something a little different: Tacos.The burger chain started selling crunchy tacos on Tuesday. They cost in most places, but are more expensive in Alaska and Hawaii, and will only be available for a limited time.Burger King first tested out tacos in western states. "We've seen success with tacos in those restaurants and knew it was time to bring this west coast favorite nationwide," Chris Finazzo, president of North America for Burger King, said in a statement. The new item adds "variety" to Burger King's snack offerings, he added.Fast food chains use limited-time offerings to build hype and keep their brands top of mind with consumers. And tacos in particular are a good way to attract customers, said Neil Saunders, managing director of GlobalData Retail, a research and consulting firm."Tacos remain very popular with consumers," Saunders said, adding that fast food companies that wouldn't traditionally sell tacos may be "keen to get a slice of that action."Jack in the Box in particular has had great success with its taco. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The clock is ticking as family members of Suzanne Johnson wait to see if Governor Jerry Brown will grant clemency before he leaves office Monday. Six-month-old Jasmine Miller died while under the care of Johnson at her home daycare center in North Park in 1997. Johnson found guilty of assaulting Jasmine and sentenced to life in prison. Prosecutors argued Johnson was frustrated by the baby's crying, pointing to the accepted signs of Shaken Baby Syndrome: Bleeding behind the eyes, and bleeding and swelling in the brain."We've seen a major shift in the science of Shaken Baby Syndrome," said Mike Semanchik, managing attorney with the California Innocence Project at California Western School of Law.According to Semanchik, "based on the science we know now, the jury at the time would not have found Suzanne Johnson guilty." Medical consensus now says those telltale signs of shaken baby syndrome can be caused by various medical conditions and accidental falls from short heights.Johnson says Jasmine fell out of her high chair but seemed okay, before becoming unresponsive hours later."The evidence supports an equal theory for a fall, as it does for an intentional act," said Semanchik.The science has not been enough to persuade the courts. All appeals for a new trial have been rejected."Missing her has been pretty horrific," said Sharon Johnson, Suzanne's daughter-in-law. She describes her mother-in-law as a loving woman who has remained positive, leading bible study and other groups in prison. She's up for parole in 2020, but Sharon hopes a petition for clemency on the governor's desk will be granted."She's 74. She's been wrongly incarcerated for 20 years. We just want her home," said Sharon Johnson. Semanchik says new evidence also shows paramedics forced a breathing tube down the baby's esophagus rather than her windpipe, an error that could have contributed to her death.A spokesperson for the District Attorney's office says they are in touch with Jasmine's family and remain opposed to the clemency petition.Former District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis, who did not support arguments for a new trial, has submitted a letter in support of the clemency petition."She has done well in prison. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A cyclist says he narrowly escaped injury after finding a camouflaged 'booby trap' on a popular trail along Lake Hodges.Steven Lennox made the discovery minutes into his bike ride Friday afternoon on a trail in the San Dieguito River Park. He was taking photos that afternoon, so he was going slower than normal and stopped when he saw the shadow on the ground."It was a shadow line all the way across. I looked up from there and I saw the ivy," said Lennox.But the ivy wasn't the only thing stretched across the trail. "As I got closer, I saw the rusty wire," said Lennox.In several photos he took, the ivy is seen intertwined with barbed wire and tied to a tree."Three to four loops ... had to weave it though. Somebody spent some time putting it together," said Lennox.The barbed wire appeared to be pulled from an old fence and camouflaged with a nearby vine."When you're being deceptive and hiding something, that's being cruel," said Lennox.The wire was strewn across at a height that would hit a cyclist in the chest or neck area."I don't think someone would have enough speed to cut their head off, but somebody could snap a neck," said Lennox.The discovery was made along a trail popular with cyclists, hikers and horseback riders. Rangers didn't find any similar hazards on the trail and tell us there haven't been any similar incidents in the past.
