RICHMOND, Indiana — An emergency call credited with foiling the shooting at a Richmond middle school on Thursday was made by the teenage suspect's mother, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the investigation.The call was made at 8:11 a.m. local time by the mother, according to information obtained from Wayne County's Emergency Communications Division.Sources tell WRTV television station in Indianapolis the mother called after the teenage boy had taken another family member hostage and forced them to drive to Dennis Intermediate School, just a little more than a mile from their home.Once the boy was at the school, he entered the building through a side door and eventually exchanged gunfire with responding officers, before turning the gun on himself, according to the sources.WRTV did request a recording of the call made to Wayne County's Emergency Communications Division, but the call is not being released due to the investigation.The advance call gave the school valuable minutes to lock down the middle school and allow police to quickly respond to the school, sources said. 1119

(AP) — The California Assembly said Monday it denied a former lawmakers' appeal of an investigation that found he sexually harassed a lobbyist in 2016.Former Democratic Assemblyman Matt Dababneh had appealed the finding that he likely pushed the lobbyist into a bathroom at a Las Vegas party and masturbated in front of her while urging her to touch him. Lobbyist Pamela Lopez publicly made the accusation against Dababneh last December and submitted a complaint to the Assembly Rules Committee, which hired an outside investigator.The Assembly Rules Committee told Dababneh in a letter dated Friday that his appeal was reviewed and rejected.Dababneh denies harassing Lopez and is suing her for defamation. (KGTV) - Mexican officials have rearrested two suspects who may be connected to the disappearance of Los Angeles firefighter Frank Aguilar who went missing in Mexico in August.Suspects Santos "N" and Fanny "N" were briefly released from a Baja jail overnight Sunday, according to media partner Televisa which confirmed the update with Mexican authorities.On Monday, ABC10 News interviewed Aguilar’s daughters, 17-year-old Bella and 23-year-old Amaris. “We were extremely devastated last night. It was probably the most hopeless we felt during this entire experience,” said Amaris.They told ABC10 News that their own sources have made significant discoveries about the suspects. They said the female suspect may have been dating their father.
