Facebook said Thursday that it would add a new feature in order to give new context around news stories.According to a press release, Facebook will push a notification when a user attempts to share a news article that is more than 90 days old.According to the press release, Facebook conducted research that indicated news organizations "expressed concerns about older stories being shared on social media as current news.""To ensure people have the context they need to make informed decisions about what to share on Facebook, the notification screen will appear when people click the share button on articles older than 90 days, but will allow people to continue sharing if they decide an article is still relevant," Facebook said in a statement.Facbeook's announcement came the day before a 2016 article by Scripps station WTVF in Nashville about the removal of a Billy Graham statue went viral on the platform, nearly four years after its publish date. Johnson will be honored in her hometown of Elizabeth, New Jersey.Johnson's family was joined by Union County Freeholders Sergio Granados, Rebecca Williams and LGBTQ+ advocates to announce the future site of a public monument on Freedom Trail in Johnson’s honor.The city said the monument is "anticipated to be the first public monument in the State of New Jersey to honor a LGBTQ+ person and transgender woman of color."Elizabeth also announced that they will be holding a series of events during LGBTQ History Month in October to "engage with the community and the public to participate in the planning and creating of the historic project."Johnson died in 1992 at age 46. ESCONDIDO (CNS) - Two men were stabbed, one fatally, in a gang-related attack at a mobile home park in Escondido and the suspects were at large Saturday morning.The stabbing occurred at 8:30 p.m. Friday in the 500 block of West 15th Avenue near the Centre City Parkway when two men in a black Toyota sedan arrived at the location and began arguing with the victims. At one point in the argument, one of the suspects pulled out a knife and stabbed both victims, according to Lt. Chris Lick of the Escondido Police Department.The victims, ages 30 and 25, were rushed to a hospital where the older man died and the younger man was listed in stable condition, Lick said.The suspects left the area in an unknown direction.
