Our District has NOT applied for a waiver to reopen our schools. As a part of the waiver process, we would consult with labor units, parents and community organizations first. CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) -- A pedestrian died Friday night following a crash along Main Street in Chula Vista, police say. According to police, the incident happened near the intersection of Main Street and Del Monte Avenue around 9:30 p.m.After arriving on scene, officers found the injured man in the eastbound lane of Main Street. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.At this time, the circumstances of the crash are under investigation, but the department says the driver stayed on scene and cooperated.Alcohol isn’t believed to be a factor in the crash, police say.
