In a heartbreaking Facebook post, a Maryland animal shelter announced they found a puppy with its ears cut off tied to a tree in Baltimore. BARCS say they got a call saying someone had found two dogs tied to a tree and several other puppies in an empty lot. When the officer arrived, they found one of the puppies was bleeding from the head and the other puppies were for sale. The puppies were immediately taken to BARCS where they were seen by a vet. They named the injured dog Claude and determined that his ears were removed using poor instruments, like household objects, leaving him with tissue damage, pain, and infection. Claude is only 10 weeks old and BARCS says he is trying to do normal puppy things, but cannot because of the pain. He received emergency surgery but the veterinarians had to remove untreated infected tissue, so he lost even more of his ear structure. BARCS is now asking for money so they can continue to help Claude so he can find a loving home and recover. In a blog post on Thursday, Twitter says it has suspended more than 1.2 million accounts for promoting terrorism-related content between August 2015 and December 2017.The announcement came as part of the company's 12th biannual Twitter Transparency Report.The company also reported that more that 274,000 of those accounts were suspended in the last reporting period from July 2017 and December 2017, and nearly three quarters of those accounts were suspended before even sending a tweet.Terror groups like ISIS have been known to be active on Twitter, and use the social networking site as a recruiting tool to attract new members.Despite Twitter's report, the company continues ot face criticism on how it handles issues relating to harassment and hate speech. IMPERIAL BEACH, Calif. (KGTV) — The body of a man was discovered floating in the water just north of the U.S.-Mexico border near Border Field State Park Friday.San Diego Sheriff's deputies were called in to assist Border Patrol officers just before 5:30 p.m. after the discovery. Border Patrol agents pulled the man to shore where San Diego Fire Department crews responded to provide life-saving measures.The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.The San Diego County Medical Examiner is working to identify the man before notifying his next of kin. 592
