When the building closes at the end of the month, they'll have the option to pay for individual boxes at their homes or have their P.O. box transferred to the Middlefield, Ohio Post Office, about seven miles away.Ikeler says traveling a few miles for mail isn't a big deal for most people he's talked to, but Catherine Dudich says it could be an issue for others."There's quite a lot of elderly people that live in the community and they can't get out every day to go get their mail," said Dudich. "It's sad that all these little communities are going by the wayside."Parkman residents say their P.O. Boxes have been free when they are normally rented out for a few months at a time. A magnitude 6.1 earthquake has struck off the coast of Japan, United States Geological Survey reports.The earthquake's epicenter is located  in the Pacific Ocean, about 175 miles away from the coastal city of Kamaishi.The magnitude 6.1 quake occurred about 6 miles below the surface of the earth.The Japan Meteorological Agency currently has no tsunami warnings or advisories in affect, nor does the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.The earthquake occurred one day after more than 200 people died in an earthquake near Mexico City. 569

A Charlotte County, Florida mom was arrested Wednesday morning after she accidentally ran into her son in the drop-off area of the Port Charlotte High School parking lot.According to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, 49-year-old Nadine Williams has a suspended license and gave false identification at the scene.  Williams' son was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.Deputies said they found Williams had a suspension for unpaid traffic fines and a failure to maintain insurance. They also said they found a citation for driving without a license just days before the incident Wednesday morning. When deputies asked her about the suspension, they said she told them she knew she was suspended, but she had to drive because it wasn't "like I'm murdering or raping."  815

A majority of the House of Representatives is on record supporting another billion to help airlines pay their workers through next March. The goal is prevent large-scale layoffs in October, when an earlier round of federal aid runs out. Airlines are staggering under a massive drop in air travel caused by the coronavirus pandemic. On Monday, 195 Democrats and 28 Republicans endorsed more payroll aid for the industry. But the fate of the proposal is unclear. Republicans who hold the majority in the Senate released a new coronavirus-relief measure that did not include the airline provision. 606
