IMPERIAL BEACH, Calif. (KGTV) -- Authorities are investigating after a body was found along Imperial Beach Sunday morning. According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, joggers told authorities they found a man in his 20s unresponsive in the water on the 700 block of Seacoast Drive. Paramedics arrived and pronounced the man dead. The department says they suspect drugs or alcohol may have played a role in the death. The identity of the man hasn't been released at this time. 499

 DENVER, Colorado — The FBI agent who shot a man at a Denver nightclub when his weapon fell from his waistband while he was performing a backflip is scheduled to appear in court Thursday morning at 11:30 a.m. Eastern to enter a plea. Chase Bishop, 29, faces one count of second-degree assault, a fourth-degree felony. In July, Bishop's attorney revealed that a plea offer had been made to his client. Denver District Attorney's Office spokesman Ken Lane confirmed the existence of the offer at that time but said the details were not disclosed in court and thus won't be disclosed unless the deal is made. In a new update ahead of Thursday's hearing, Lane says there is no information about any plea deal in the works.Bishop turned himself in on the charge in early June. The incident began around 9:20 p.m. when police received a call about a carjacking near Maryland Street and Madison Avenue. According to San Diego Police, the victim’s property, including a 2019 Subaru Outback, was taken at gunpoint. When officers tried to stop the vehicle, the driver, a 17-year-old boy, fled the scene, leading police on a chase. The pursuit ended when the suspect drove off the road at Arizona Street and Howard Avenue before putting the car in reverse and driving toward officers. While backing up, police say the 17-year-old slouched down in the driver’s seat, pointing a handgun at police and prompting an officer to fire his weapon at the suspect. The man continued to back up, slamming into a patrol car, police say.
