 ESPN The Magazine is celebrating its 20th anniversary by releasing lists of the best teams and athletes of the last 20 years. Needless to say, there isn't a lot of San Diego on the list -- with the exception of a No. 4 ranking for NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson on the "Most Dominant Athletes" list. As it happens, my career in San Diego sports media began in 1998, so I thought I'd take it upon myself to come up with a list of the best San Diego teams of the past 20 years. Unlike ESPN, which came up with complicated metrics to determine their lists, mine is completely subjective.  CHULA VISTA (CNS) - A driver in a stolen car led officers on a pursuit through Chula Vista Saturday before officers were able to apprehend him in a tunnel, an officer said.Police received information Saturday morning that a car had been stolen from El Cajon as part of a burglary, and officers were notified before 10:15 a.m. that the car had been spotted at a home near View Park Way and East Palomar Street, Chula Vista Police Lt. Rusty Rea said.The car left as officers were heading to the house, and a pursuit ensued, with the driver leading officers north onto state Route 125, Rea said. Officers soon backed off as the driver continued to proceed recklessly on the freeway and allowed a police helicopter to keep an eye on him, he said.The car entered the tunnel on the transition road from northbound Route 125 to westbound Route 54 and the helicopter crew did not see it come out the other side, Rea said. Calls from passers-by confirmed the driver had stopped the car inside the tunnel and was trying to get away on foot.Police closed the tunnel and were able to arrest the driver, identified as 25-year-old David Felix. 1143

(CNN) - A San Jose home was a scene of carnage after an apparent quadruple homicide and suicide, police said.Officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired at the home around 8:40 p.m. Sunday night."Arriving officers located several family members fleeing the residence," San Jose police said.Police used an armored vehicle to help rescue two gunshot victims from the home. But both of those victims, a male and a female, died shortly later."Two other adult female victims and the suspect were still unaccounted for and believed to be in the residence," police said.At around 1:25 a.m. Monday, officers entered the home and found the two missing female victims and the suspect. All three had been shot, and all three were pronounced dead at the scene.The names of the victims and suspect have not been released, pending notification of relatives. Authorities have not detailed the relationships between the five people."It appears the suspect shot the four victims before committing suicide by shooting himself," police said.
