TOKYO (AP) — Organizers are saying that a limited number of non-Japanese fans may be allowed to attend next year's Tokyo Olympics.CEO Toshiro Muto says after a meeting on infection countermeasures that fans could face some stringent rules. This would include screening for COVID-19 before they leave home. Non-Japanese fans may also face a 14-day quarantine, depending on their area of origin.Muto says this is still open to discussion.When asked if foreigners to Japan would follow the rules, Muto said it'd be difficult to control their movement and behavior.According to Reuters, Muto said that Olympic organizers are working with Japanese authorities to ensure that athletes and Olympic-related staff will not have to quarantine for 14 days.The goal is for athletes and workers to train and perform their duties leading up to the Olympics, which are expected to start in Summer 2021.There will be extensive screening on arrival and perhaps health-tracking apps to download and a rule book to be complied with. 1021

Three men pleaded not guilty to the charges they face in connection with the death of Ahmaud Arbery in February. Gregory and Travis McMichael and William "Roddie" Bryan Jr. all make their pleas Friday morning via video conference. However, the issue that got more attention at the hearing was masks. Bryan's attorney, Kevin Gough, began his client's portion of the hearing discussing masks. He asked for clarification if Bryan had to wear a mask while appearing remotely at the jail. Since he was distanced from others in the jail's video conference room, the judge clarified that he was allowed to remove it. Gough then raised an objection, saying he thought wearing masks referencing George Floyd in the courtroom was a political statement. He was referencing the Arbery family attorney who was sitting in the courtroom. "I do not see masks as being a political statement,” Chatham County superior court judge Timothy Walmsley responded, saying masks were required by public health guidelines and he wore one when he took the bench. "The courtroom is not a place for political statements, not a place for outbursts," he continued, saying if any behavior or actions by anyone in the courtroom becomes disruptive, it will be dealt with. “This is not the place to make a statement," Judge Walmsley said. Gregory and Travis McMichael were arrested on May 7 for the February 23 shooting death of Arbery outside of Brunswick, Georgia. Greg McMichael told police he suspected Arbery was a burglar and that Arbery attacked his son before being shot.Arbery was running in a neighborhood at the time. In the charging documents, prosecutors allege the McMichaels chased Arbery before shooting him. More than three quarters of caregivers are making alternative plans this holiday season because of the pandemic.Goyer says to avoid all or nothing thinking. Instead, focus on traditions most important to your loved ones.“For one family member, the decorations are the most important part, for another one, it’s the family movie night,” she said. “It might be that the meals are the most important thing. The music, you know, the religious services. Find out what's most important and try to prioritize ways that you can adapt.”For loved ones outside the home, increase how often you talk to them. Decorate outside their window or mail them decorations. Do holiday traditions like reading a story, watching a movie or sharing Christmas morning coffee over video.“I know one caregiver who got a bunch of greeting cards and she addressed them all from different people and gave them to the facility and they're giving them to her brother who lives in a memory care facility,” said Goyer. “Every day he gets a card and that makes him feel like, oh, this is, this is the queue. This is the holiday season, and somebody cares about me.”Caregivers also need to pay attention to themselves. Well over half are already experiencing negative impacts on their mental health.“Remember to give to yourself and that that's a good thing to do. In fact, it's required. It's not optional. TIJUANA, Mexico. (KGTV) -- Conditions were bleak outside the Benito Juarez sports complex, where migrants waited out the rain. Tents stretches as far as the eye can see as migrants hid beneath tarps in a makeshift camp while waiting for the rain to pass. Mud puddles still surround the camp as those inside wait for another band of rain to sweep through Tijuana later Thursday evening. Outdoor showers were set up in the camp. When asked whether or not the journey was worth it, many of the migrants told 10News conditions at the camp are better than conditions in their home countries. Many with the camp say they’re also concerned as more and more migrants come down with colds. Face masks were passed out throughout the week to try to protect those who haven’t caught a cold.
