BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (AP) — The Trump administration has removed gray wolves in most of the U.S. from the endangered species list. Thursday’s action ends longstanding federal safeguards for the predators in the Lower 48 states, except for a small population of Mexican gray wolves in the Southwest. The announcement just days ahead of the election could allow hunting of the animals to resume in Great Lakes states -- a battleground region in the presidential race between President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden. Gray wolves have recovered from near extinction in parts of the country but remain absent from much of their historical range. BEECH GROVE, Ind. — A man has been arrested after he recorded himself dumping a bag of flour onto the head of a 68-year-old woman at a Beech Grove, Indiana Walmart on Wednesday. An off-duty IMPD officer working at the Walmart on Emerson Avenue just after 10 a.m. when he was informed of the incident. The 68-year-old woman was shopping in the store when a man she didn't know snuck up behind her and dumped an entire bag of flour on her head. The suspect, Phillip Weaver, 22, recorded the incident on Facebook Live and shared it on his social media page. Weaver was arrested Thursday afternoon. He's been preliminarily charged with battery, theft, theft of a firearm and criminal mischief in reference to that incident. Final charges will be determined by the Marion County Prosecutor's office. The incident remains under investigation.  A quick view at Weaver's social media pages shows that he regularly records himself doing what he calls "pranks" to other people in public places and shares them with his followers. BALTIMORE (AP) -- The U.S. Department of Justice won't bring federal charges against six police officers involved in the arrest and death of Freddie Gray, a young black man whose death touched off weeks of protests and unrest in Baltimore.The officers were charged by state prosecutors after Gray's neck was broken in the back of a police transport wagon in April of 2015. BOSTON (AP) — A federal appeals court has upheld a district court decision clearing Harvard University of intentional discrimination against Asian American applicants. Two judges on the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Boston rejected claims from an anti-affirmative action group that accuses the Ivy League university of imposing a "racial penalty" on Asian Americans. The decision delivers a blow to the group, Students for Fair Admissions, and moves the case a step closer to a possible review by the U.S. Supreme Court. The group's 2014 lawsuit alleges that Harvard's admissions officers use a subjective "personal rating" to discriminate against Asian Americans who apply to the school. (KGTV) -- Raad and Nisreen Stephan have owned Giant Pizza King in Bonita for 22 years.Nisreen Stephan said their store is their livelihood and only source of income."We are here seven days a week," Nisreen Stephan said. Their kids, now grown, also used to help out in the store.They say they are being forced out because of a dispute with their landlord. A drive-thru Starbucks is planned to replace their store, according to the Stephans."It is very stressful. Imagine that you are here for 22 years... and all of a sudden, they want to kick you out of your place," Raad Stephan said.He said the owners of the Bonnie Brae Center want them out to make room for the new Starbucks. The current Starbucks location is already in the same plaza at the corner of Central and Bonita Road."It is nonsense because Starbucks now, their location is the best in the shopping center," Raad Stephan said.The dispute will now play out in court. In the unlawful detainer lawsuit filed by Alcott Estates, L.P., it states that the lease expired in June 2016. Raad Stephan said he signed a lease that gave him the option of a five-year extension and the shopping center owners are not honoring that. There is no set court date to the lawsuit, but some of the loyal customers have told the owners that when there is, they will show up to the hearing.In the meantime, the couple is doing what they can to stay positive, thankful for their customers who have supported them throughout the years."We are a part of a family, a big family in Bonita.
