EL CAJON (KGTV) — Parents and coaches near El Cajon are searching for the man who turned their little league field into a dumping ground."Had me angry from the moment I saw it," said Travis Hudson.Hudson is president of the Rios Canyon Little League. He showed us the old 17-foot-boat and trailer now resting just past the right field fence. Hudson says on Sunday afternoon, a man driving an old, white Dodge Ram truck dumped the boat and some tires, before coming back and unloading another a 20-foot boat. Hudson says one of his coaches confronted the man when he returned with another load, which included jet skis. The man claimed he was having issues with his truck and would return later to pick up the items. He never did.Hudson says near the dumpster, he found more items."Black bags and furniture items, which waste management picked up. Now we have stuff that has overflowed on the side, including clothes," said Hudson.After Hudson posted photos on Facebook, he believes a member of the community picked up the 20-foot boat, but the other boat remains."It hurts because the kids are going to be impacted," said Hudson.Hauling the boat away will come right out of their tight budget."We're spending money to get grass repaired, to get facilities repaired. EL CAJON, Calif. (KGTV) -- An El Cajon police officer responding to a traffic-related call was hospitalized Monday morning after being dragged by an SUV and then struck by another vehicle. Police have identified the suspect as 41-year-old David Francis Cepeda Pangilinan. He is a 5'6" Guamanian male with short brown hair and brown eyes. El Cajon police said officers were called to the 100 block of Washington Avenue at around 8:30 a.m. in response to a vehicle blocking the street with the driver “asleep or unresponsive behind the wheel.”Officers arrived to find the driver and a female passenger asleep inside a black 2019 Volkswagen SUV with California license plate 8LCE117.According to El Cajon police: “When officers woke the occupants, the driver provided identification for someone other than himself and officers began to investigate.During this contact, the driver suddenly started the vehicle and began to put it into gear. One of the officers attempted to detain the driver and keep him from fleeing the scene.In doing so, the officer was trapped in the vehicle and dragged for a distance as the driver fled.As the driver fled with the officer still partially inside the vehicle, the officer was struck by another vehicle that was traveling in the roadway.The officer was ejected from the vehicle and sustained significant injuries.”According to police, the injured officer was taken to the hospital and is in critical but stable condition. No other injuries were reported.A neighbor was doing yard work when the incident happened and watched it unfold."I heard my son scream and crying so I turn around and I see officer down. I run to the officer but the other police man came. The guy was out, completely out. Blood was coming out of his nose, his mouth and his head. And his eyes were rolled in the back of his head. The other officer came and put his hand on his head. I start praying for the guy, the next thing we know we see him move. EL CAJON, Calif. (KGTV) -- El Cajon could become the first city in San Diego County to ban the sale of vaping products. That comes as the CDC investigated hundreds of vaping-related illness. In total, there have been 22 vaping-related deaths confirmed across the U.S., including two in California. Public health officials have been asking people to stop vaping until they get answers. Tuesday, the City Council will vote to decide if vaping will be banned in the city of El Cajon. Some councilmembers say they want a complete ban on the sale of vaping products and flavored juices. Investigators still haven’t found the root cause of the illnesses, but did find that 78 percent of people injured reported using THC containing products. 744
