A gun rights group is cheering the Trump administration’s designation of the firearms industry, including retailers, as part of the nation’s critical infrastructure during the coronavirus emergency. The designation by the federal Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency is advisory. The agency notes that the designation does not override determinations by individual jurisdictions of what they consider critical infrastructure sectors. The firearms industry was not part of the federal agency’s original list of critical infrastructure issued just over a week ago. The designation in an update released Saturday follows a brewing legal battle between gun rights groups and California officials. The group Gun Owners of America says in a statement Saturday that it is encouraged that the Trump administration is not ignoring what it calls “the ability to protect yourself” during the emergency stemming from the pandemic.Gun rights groups filed suit last Friday after the Los Angeles County sheriff closed gun stores in the wake of California Gov. Gavin Newsom saying that each of the state’s 58 counties could decide for themselves whether to list firearms dealers as nonessential businesses that should be subject to closure while the state seeks to limit the spread of the virus. The lawsuit claims that the designation violates the Second Amendment, but officials cite a public health issue. 1412

A Lebanon, Indiana, mother is upset after she says her kids were denied breakfast and "lunch shamed" because they didn't have enough money on their account.Shaina Lawson says her 2nd and 5th grade daughters came home crying on Thursday from Harney Elementary School after she says the cafeteria worker denied them breakfast."You should never take food away from an innocent child," Lawson said. "It's awful."Lawson didn't put more money on their accounts in time and says their food was taken away from them in front of everyone. "The lady took their food from them in front of everyone in the lunch room and told them because they didn't have money on there that they were not allowed to eat," Lawson said. "There were kids snickering in the back of the line, made them feel very uncomfortable. I can only imagine how they were feeling."While students are not allowed to buy anything when there's no money on their account, Lebanon Community Schools says students have an alternate menu option available to them. When a student's balance is low, the schools notifies the parents twice a week. Schools send home a letter explaining the process of applying for free or reduced price meals when a student's balance goes in the negatives. "But before we could put money on there, they decided it was ok to snatch away my kids breakfast both of them in front of everyone," Lawson said. Some schools in Central Indiana, like the Greenfield Central Community School Corporation, have changed their policies to prevent what's called "lunch shaming."Lebanon Community Schools says they are reviewing their policies and procedures to ensure students and families are being served and welcome the opportunity to assist families with questions regarding food services and payment. 1782

A Phoenix couple is accused of forcing a day laborer at gunpoint to have sex with the female suspect, police say.Phoenix police on April 8 responded to a call from a man saying he was sexually assaulted by a couple at a home. According to court documents, Brenda Acuna Aguero, 39, picked up a day laborer and told the man her husband needed help moving some items at their home. When they arrived at her house, Aguero reportedly told the man that, "it was her fantasy to have sex with a laborer." The victim initially thought Aguero was teasing, but when he realized she wasn't, he told her he was not going to have sex with her. At that point, police say, the woman's husband, 45-year-old Jorge Francisco Valenzuela, came into the room with a rifle. Valenzuela allegedly placed the rifle on the victim's chest, and "told him he was going to have sex with his wife, or he would shoot him."The victim had sex with Aguero as Valenzuela filmed video and took pictures, and allegedly directed the victim to different sexual positions.Police say Valenzuela later stole the victim’s Mexican visa and driver's license, and forced the victim to call his wife so Valenzuela could get her phone number.Valenzuela allegedly told the victim to come back the next day to get his visa and license and have sex with Aguero. He then threatened to send the video to the victim's wife if he didn't comply, records show.Later the same day, Valenzuela allegedly demanded the victim returned to his home for another sexual encounter. When the victim arrived with a friend, Valenzuela sent the pictures to the victim’s wife. The victim contacted police, who arrested Valenzuela and Aguero at their home. They both allegedly admitted their actions, with Valenzuela saying they had done this before with about four other men. They are being held on a 0,000 bond for sexual assault. 1871

....Death to America. I terminated deal, which was not even ratified by Congress, and imposed strong sanctions. They are a much weakened nation today than at the beginning of my Presidency, when they were causing major problems throughout the Middle East. Now they are Bust!....— Donald J.
