BEIJING, Dec. 24 (Xinhua) -- China and Nepal pledged to expand cooperation, as Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao met with visiting Nepalese Deputy Prime Minister Kamal Thapa Thursday in Beijing.
Berdimuhamedov, for his part, thanked China for sending a high-level delegation to attend the celebrations and asked Li to extend his good wishes to Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Security cooperation and economic cooperation have been described as the two wheels of the SCO. However, a popular impression is that the bloc has achieved a great deal in pushing forward security cooperation among members while its endeavors for economic cooperation appeared to be far less impressive.
"Asia faces severe connectivity gaps and significant infrastructure bottlenecks. It is critical to address these needs, because good infrastructure is a foundation for robust economic growth, and expand economic opportunities and improve the quality of life for everybody," Jin said.
13. Heads of Governments welcome the input of the SCO Business Council and the SCO Interbank Consortium in promotion of cooperation and trade and economic ties in the framework of the Organization, advocated strengthening the activities of these structures on more active contacts between business and financial circles, as well as development of real economy.
