If it's on the internet, it's there forever. From college photos to angry twitter rants, they can all come back to haunt you long after you click 'post.' It's becoming such a problem that Dr. Rebecca Nee devotes an entire lecture to it at San Diego State. "Teachers and professors can sometimes be forgiving," said Dr. Nee. "But most employers are not."Last month, a woman was fired from Panera Bread after a video revealing the secret to making their mac n' cheese went viral. Two weeks earlier, a man dominated the internet when he made a sign asking for beer money on ESPN's College GameDay. The instant fame quickly turned into backlash after so-called racist tweets he sent eight years ago came to light. In a world always online, could you be next?"It can keep you from getting a job; it can keep you from the career of your dreams," said Dr. Nee. In San Diego, a man had identity concerns when he was falsely accused of felony grand theft. The District Attorney claimed he and other employees used stolen credit cards to buy merchandise from a Go Wireless store at the UTC mall. It turned out that Go Wireless mixed him up with another man by the same name. He was booked, fingerprinted and DNA tested before the case was dismissed. "I barely even see my son now, and the last thing I wanted to do was go to jail and not even see him at all."But the damage to his reputation was already done with information online that may last forever. People in San Marcos are worried something similar could happen in their neighborhood. According to Security National, an average burial costs between ,000 and ,000, but cremation can be a third of the cost. Cremation can be simpler and quicker. (KGTV) — California Highway Patrol is advising motorists to be prepared for a possible shut down of the Grapevine stretch of Interstate 5 this week.With a major winter storm expected to sweep through Southern California over the Thanksgiving holiday, CHP sent out a warning Tuesday for motorists to stay alert if using I-5 between Santa Clarita and Mettler, Calif."We are expecting snow on the Grapevine starting this Wednesday," CHP wrote. "We always hope to keep it open, however safety is our top priority. If the conditions become unsafe, we will hold traffic until Caltrans HQ makes the roadway safe. Expect a high volume of traffic this holiday week. Expect some delay and give yourself plenty of time to arrive at your destination safely."As an backup, CHP provided a map of alternate routes around the Grapevine through Highway 14 or Highway 101:Rain may hit Santa Clarita as early as Tuesday, with freezing conditions possible Thursday night. (KGTV) — Even with the opening of "Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge" this summer, Disneyland reported a drop in attendance last quarter.Disney reported the data during an investor's call this week, noting that domestic parks saw a 3% drop in attendance in its third fiscal quarter ending on June 29. However, per-capita guest spending increased 10%, thanks in part to high ticket prices, and spending on food, beverage, and merchandise.Disney added that the lower attendance at Disneyland, specifically, was fueled by fewer annual passholder visits as the park managed the demand for "Galaxy's Edge."
