BEIJING, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- Chinese top legislator Zhang Dejiang met with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on Tuesday and they agreed to strengthen legislative ties between the two countries.

Premier Li Keqiang also urged local authorities to improve inspection and supervision and make sure safety procedures are followed.

Li also called for further cooperation in areas of transportation, telecommunications and energy, as well as to enhance economic and financial cooperation between China and ASEAN.

Addressing the opening ceremony of the 64th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2013), Li said space resources are the common wealth of mankind, and various countries enjoy equal rights to use such resources.

"The dream belongs to every Chinese person, including the 85 million disabled people," said Zhang, also China's vice premier, in the Great Hall of the People in downtown Beijing.
