(KGTV) - A Pennsylvania groom is accused of sexually assaulting one of his wife’s bridesmaids days before his wedding, which occurred as scheduled. Daniel Carney, 28, is charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse of an unconscious person and indecent assault at the Smithfield resort Aug. 30. Police said the assault reportedly happened after Carney and the bridesmaid were drinking alcohol. The bridesmaid told officers she blacked out, and when she regained consciousness her clothes were removed and Carney was fondling her. Surveillance video shows Carney pulling the woman into the men’s locker room, police said. According to police, the assault stopped when the bride caught him, but the wedding went on as planned Sept. 1. Court documents show investigators listened in on a call between Carney and his accuser, KABC reported. (KGTV) — A magnitude 6.6 earthquake shook parts of the Southern Philippines Tuesday morning local time, weeks after another deadly quake struck the region.Tuesday's quake hit just after 9 a.m. on the island of Mindanao near the town of Tulunan in North Cotabato, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology.Damages and aftershocks were expected, CNN reported, and several evacuations were reported.The earthquake comes about two weeks after a 6.3-magnitude quake killed seven people and injured dozens in the same town in North Cotabato, CNN reported. 583

(KGTV) — After a weeks-long closure due to mudslides and debris, Highway 18 from San Bernardino to Big Bear Lake has reopened.The highway has been closed since February after heavy rainfall prompted mudslides in some areas, forcing crews to repair damage to the highway.Snow fell on Big Bear Mountain Resort Wendesday with more snow expected Thursday night into Friday, continuing the mountain's flurry of snowfall this season. Currently, officials say they have about 60 inches of snow at the resort's peak and 44 inches at its base.This season, 128 inches of snow have hit the resort, making it prime for locals looking to ski, board, or just frolic in the snow this season.The route into Snow Valley Mountain Resort also reopened as the resort saw 34 inches of snow by Saturday morning. 797

(KGTV) -- A Marine with a Camp Pendleton-based unit died and a search is underway for eight others from that group following a training accident off the coast of San Clemente Island, U.S. Marine officials said.Officials said the incident happened around 5:45 p.m. Thursday during a routine training exercise involving the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, I Marine Expeditionary Force, and Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, according to officials.An amphibious assault vehicle with 15 Marines and one sailor inside reported taking water during the exercise, officials said.Seven members of the group were rescued and taken to the hospital, but officials confirmed another -- a Marine -- died at Scripps La Jolla Hospital. Two individuals, both Marines, were in critical and stable conditions, respectively.The five other members have returned to their assigned ship.The eight members — seven Marines and one sailor — remained missing as of Friday afternoon and were being searched for by the Navy's USS John Finn, three Navy helicopters, several smaller Navy vessels and a U.S. Coast Guard ship and helicopter, Marine officials said.Officials say that all families of the Marines and the sailor involved have been notified."We have not moved into a recovery operation," Gen.
