BEIJING, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Friday held a video meeting with the U.S. Asia Society, calling for the two sides to shoulder due responsibilities as major countries.
Approved by the State Council, the 23-clause rules aim to effectively forestall and resolve national security risks while actively promoting and protecting foreign investment to support the country's higher-level opening-up and facilitate the new development paradigm, said a statement released by the two government departments.
The meeting was presided over by Li Keqiang. Li Zhanshu, Wang Yang, Zhao Leji and Han Zheng also attended, while Wang Huning read the decision on the commendation at the meeting.
The program, which aims to bring down the pricing by large-scale purchasing and squeezing out multiple layers of agent middlemen, owes its origin to Sanming, an industrial city with a permanent population of 2.6 million in east China's Fujian Province.
He called on China and Nepal to push forward their strategic partnership of cooperation featuring ever-lasting friendship for development and prosperity, and work together to build a closer community of shared future benefitting both countries and peoples.
