Rather than resorting to massive stimulus plans to shore up an economy faced with uNPRecedented challenges, China has vowed targeted and accurate measures to help firms tide over the difficult period.

After weeks of strong and rigorous measures to rein in the spread of the disease, China's efforts have paid off. The number of new COVID-19 cases in the country dropped to double-digit figures on Friday for the first time since Jan. 20.

The country will encourage financial institutions to increase foreign trade loans, and fully deliver the policy of loan deferment in principal and interest for promising smaller firms that were deeply affected by the outbreak. Commercial insurance companies will be supported in offering short-term export credit insurance services and lowering premium rates.

Malaysian Health Ministry Director-General Noor Hisham Abdullah said the Chinese expert team and Malaysian experts would share and exchange experience and views regarding COVID-19.

Boadu also expressed hope for China to further share the Chinese wisdom of how to coordinate efforts to push forward both virus control and economic and social developments.
