Who sold it, who was the gunmaker, who was the first person they sold it to and what happened?”Police don’t yet know where and when Berhow got the handgun he used to shoot students at Saugus High School in the Los Angeles suburb of Santa Clarita. LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Families of those killed and wounded in a California shooting rampage three years ago are suing manufacturers and sellers of "ghost gun" kits that provide easy-to-assemble firearm parts that make it difficult to track or regulate owners.A pair of wrongful death lawsuits accuse 13 defendants of negligence, public nuisance and violation of business codes.The cases were brought by Brady United, the nonprofit that advocates against gun violence.One of the defendants calls the suits an attempt to to "frustrate the lawful purpose of making your own firearms."The other defendants didn't immediately respond to media requests for comment. 665

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Authorities say a Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy who said he was shot in a station parking lot was lying.Assistant Sheriff Robin Limon said at a news conference late Saturday that Wednesday's "reported sniper assault was fabricated" by Angel Reinosa, a 21-year-old deputy.A department statement on Thursday had said a round hit the top of Reinosa's shoulder, damaging his uniform shirt but failing to penetrate his flesh.But Sheriff's Capt. Kent Wegener says no bullets were recovered from the scene and detectives saw "no visible injuries." He says Reinosa eventually admitted making up the story and using a knife to cut the two holes in his shirt.Reinosa has been relieved of his duties and will face a criminal investigation. LOS ANGELES (CNS) - One of the suspects accused of killing an 84-year- old woman at the Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula is said to be the sister of newly signed Los Angeles Clippers star forward Kawhi Leonard, it was reported Saturday.On Aug. 31, Kimesha Monae Williams, 35, and Candace Tai Townsel, 39, allegedly followed Afaf Anis Assad of Long Beach into a bathroom, where the duo attacked and robbed her, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.An aunt of Williams told the Riverside Press-Enterprise that Williams and Leonard are siblings.John Hall, spokesman for the Riverside County District Attorney's Office, would not confirm the relationship to the newspaper.Assad was found unconscious on the bathroom floor and later died of her injuries at Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar.Sheriff's officials said Williams and Townsel stole Assad's purse, which contained 0 to ,200 inside."She didn't even get a chance to play," Assad's son-in-law told CBS2. LOS ANGELES – The man who reportedly attacked an 86-year-old woman while she was out shopping in Koreatown has been arrested. Richard Rene Colomo, 41 (pictured below), was re-arrested Tuesday after being released earlier in February pending further investigation.Colomo is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday on one felony count of elder or dependent adult abuse with infliction of injury.
